To be fair, I'm not sure Osula at 19 would get in our Championship team either. He'd just come off a pretty awful League One loan.

Most likely going to be another last minute dot com job since we will probably have to move players out before we can bring new ones in. We won't be in charge of the timescale when it comes to selling. We barely ever are even when we're buying.

Correct we haven’t got our transfer business right for many seasons

Yeah, that is fine. But this season is different from those. In those seasons, we had a realistic chance of promoting. This season, I don't think we do. It's entirely situational - if an extremely serious playoff push is not realistic, we ought to be bringing our own young players (be it those we have, or those we might buy) on, not others.

Henderson came in when it was our 2nd season back in championship from 6 years in league 1? A good loan signing who we can’t realistically sign is literally the aim of any loan signing in any season. Its there performances at our club which determines whether or not we can sign em. If they’re crap we don’t want em, if they’re really good their parent club will want em. Just like us with One this season.

Osula had 21 premier league appearances for us by the time we sold him to Newcastle. Oné doesn’t even have that many in the championship.

I think we need a bit of leader across the back 4. If we can get Walker that would be perfect! But also, how about Jake Bidwell from Coventry as he has plenty of experience and can also defend at LB which is something we have been lacking. Don't seem to have a lot of pace, but can cross, defend and his positioning is on point! Could be worth a punt

Downside with Bidwell not had that many minutes with Coventry since a knee injury, he is still under contract for another season so would need buying out of that. We do have McCallum to come back into contention for the LB spot here. Bidwell wouldn't be the worse of ideas but I think we are in need of dominating CB's more than anything, at least one that can control the defence.

This isn't a dig at Henderson but to be fair to him he had a solid defence and system in front of him that knew what each other were doing. I think he would have really struggled 25/26 season (never sure when last season goes into next) with that defence and midfield in front of him he would have had a lot more work to get through.

Yes fair enough regarding Osula but he didn't look nearly the part.

Ones goals per minute have been quite impressive for Lincoln.
