I am the wrong side of a bottle of single malt cask strength, but Seriki in front of Walker, and Burrows in front of a young LCB in a 5-3-2 is where I start.

COH between Seriki & Brooks is behind big Pat & ano & we piss tis league.
Two of those players won’t be here come next season.

Brooks has been superb on the flank along with Siriki, not sure I’d want to change that and indeed I’d be looking for someone on loan on the left of similar standard instead.

Already been tried with Burrows. It failed
We tried it once with a flat three in midfield and totally isolated front two, I'm not sure Burrows and Seriki were to blame for how that went.

I'd rather we tried something like a 3-4-3 but I'm not sure we have the centre midfielders for that currently so if we wanted to play three at the back we'd probably have to play either 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-1-1. We don't do 3-5-2 that well because we end up with a huge gap between our strikers and the rest of the team.

This is it being tried against Bristol City.
Hardly a legitimate attempt at making it work, given the squad of players available.
Cannon has the ability to go missing/look isolated in any formation, so I wouldn't put that down solely to the formation.
That midfield three contains car-crash Soumare and Rothwell who had barely played for us.
That defence contains Hjelde and McGuinness who weren't starters at the time.
I wouldn't be writing the back five off just yet. Agree that 3-4-3 might also be worth some investigation.

Maybe something along these lines given a few of the rumours circulating:

(not sure about Tanganga as a LCB though!)

Think Tanganga would be fine at LCB. I remember him pocketing Raheem Sterling playing left-back for Spurs back in the day.
