Any plausable reason surronding this deal, not started a single game and only a few minutes as a sub, does this mean he is coming back ? I know we probably got a wages contribution but wouldnt he have been better playing for u21s and learning the blades way ?

I think he’s just not very good. It’s not really much of a mystery.

Must have learnt a bit about defending in Italy, at least, surely.

From what I heard he looked way off the grade for us in training.
Which is why the Genoa loan and potential transfer was made.

Can't see them signing him so we will have another summer of trying to offload him I reckon.

One of the summer of 25's wastage.

The lads only just turned 21 , about 18 months younger than baptiste or about the same as other young centre half's who aren't yet good enough to he near the 1st team .

Was told the same. Management surprised at just how bad he was. Seems like we signed him purely because he won a Sweden cap as most of the usual Swedish defenders pulled out of the squad and he was called up from the U21s. Most likely be a Grbic situation where he goes on random loans abroad until his contract runs out

If the reported fee is anywhere near, it's wild that we spent that amount of cash on a player who's so far off the mark. That sort of fee should buy a mainstay player for a club in our position. :(

We've had some awful signings in the last few years Mason Holgate was disastrous, Ben Godfrey, Ciaran Clarke etc etc makes you wonder who's wanting to sign such rubbish for big wages too

The management and coaching staff in training and practice games.

But everyone here says these are completely irrelevant. Why else would they cry that youngsters need to go to Doncaster on loan to actually learn how to play the game?

Absolute amateur hour last summer. Meanwhile Lampard signed the likes of Grimes & Esse, both of which would 100% have been realistic for us to gazump
Agreed that Essé would have been a very strong signing, but Cov signed Grimes in Jan 2025. Might have been Lampard's first signing for them.

I’ve not seen the lad play, but speaking generally about the quality of many of last summers signings we made some absolutely mind boggling signings. So I don’t think that keeping him was really a better option.

The coaches will have had plenty of time to look at him before sending him out on loan.

The owners made some mental decisions last summer and went full steam ahead into a recruitment experiment which ultimately failed.

I think it’s only right and fair that we try to move any players on which aren’t good enough. Not every player signed will be able to be coached from their current level to Championship ready players.

Its telling neither Selles or Wilder thought he was even worth a place on the subs bench...

Zetterstrom generally translates to someone associated with a "stream/current near a summer pasture/estate

expected moor from him , wonder if hes related to brooks

AI V1 kept hush hush then last summer we got AI V2 The Poker Edition.

I think they got the question criteria the wrong way round though.

"Please create a list of players with good potential Injury prone, who cost a lot of money now in wages"

To be fair Ciaran Clark only was required to play a handful of times in the promotion season and offered some decent experience.
Think he was fine to have in the squad for 1 year.

How on earth have we’ve spent millions on a player no one rates? I can understand the signings from Bulgaria cause they’ve been cheap punts but we spent decent wedge on Zatterstrom.

I refuse to believe that a player we put so much effort in for (we had to dick about with Caceres to open up an ESC spot) and spent so much money on arrives at Bramall lane and can’t play football to U21 level.

In a way I hope it’s attitude/personality driven because the alternative is gross misconduct by multiple people at the club and should really result in people losing their jobs.

We must be one of the only sides in the division except maybe Wednesday to get zero value and almost zero appearances from our ESC slots.
