Be honest, we don't have a great bunch of players to choose from. They really don't look like they give a shit so far today. Bristol are hardly busting a gut but they don't need to. Rothwell has covered about 10 yards (really slowly), the defenders are proving that they can't defend again and it'll be interesting to see if anyone wants to try and win it when the inevitable changes come.

Only positive side is that some of our better players are at least on the bench rather than not being in the squad at all, Brooks, Jairo, O'Hare and Bindon to name a few.

I have no problem whatsoever with you, mate. I give enough out, I have to expect some back and you’re one of the better ones at doing it. I enjoy our occasional digs at each other and take it in the right spirit, there’s never been any hard feelings afterwards. Respect.

Today’s selection was as if he’s been reading this forum. Many calls for 3 at the back, Hjelde and Soumare to play.

Literally doesn’t matter who he picks snd in what system anymore. He’s slated the players publicly and said half of them aren’t good enough. They’re not going to run through brick walls for him anymore. He did similar at Watford and Boro before leaving. Motivating players to run through brick walls for him and the fans was usually his main strength, once that’s gone there’s nothing much left.

It also doesn’t matter who he picks because of the severe lack of coaching any sort of identity or patterns of play. We’ve now spent the best part of two seasons passing it around slowly hoping for a moment of brilliance from one of our high earners or waiting for a mistake. Those moments of brilliance are coming less often now and when they do, we’re incapable of holding onto the lead anyway.

That first half is as bad as we’ve seen in years.

Them you have to move to tactics and retaining the players will & desire

He’s just not got the nouse to do the 2nd bit

And I think some have now given up on that, when they get to the last 20 mins, the best players keep on going, and will feel the pain for a couple of days
