Lightshow in the blazing sunshine

One of the more bizarre ideas we've had. A night match maybe (although not a big fan of them) but certainly not in the daytime! And the fire display led to fog for the first few minutes (although someone asked if it was because Peck had been vaping!).

Did one last season as well I think

Bizarre.

It’s shite. The seasons fizzling out to nothingness with a bunch of lacklustre performances and we’re setting off fireworks in 15 degrees sunshine like it’s a big game.

It was 7/8 mins into the game by the time the smoke fully cleared.

Fuck off with it United.

I wonder what asthmatics thought of the smoke that hung around for the first 10 or 15 mins? Why were the floodlights on as well?

Same with the speakers blasting in SS, getting showered in spittle trying tohear the guys nearby, all for a load of crap nobody listens to anyway

I thought it funny when the water sprinklers were on they were spraying water onto the fireworks.

That doesn't look too dissimilar to what my view of the Watford game was like. Only from the other end of the ground. And nothing to do with pyro

Brought some Jamaican homegrown with you to that game?

Thought the red smoke things were great.
Sure smoke hung around after, but what do people want?? Oh yeah, a good grumble.

It was fine and looked good, but for me it was a strange decision to spend extra money when we’ll no doubt be cutting costs next season.

Shouldn’t we be watching every penny right now?

Maybe, but a few grand to build up the atmosphere isn't going to go far on next season's budget.

Love the smell of the smoke reminds me of my old cap gun 😂
That was a positive - a reminder of carefree times. Think my post came across as a bit of a killjoy! At the time of the show I was talking to the adjacent fan and didn't take much notice of it starting. I didn't notice the lightshow - other than the normal flashing Midnite adverts - maybe I was distracted by the smoke 😉

Heard it was to create an atmosphere which fans have been moaning about. People were warned prior to it about smoke and gave them time to move if required, the last game they were on SS side and smoke didn't last long. Thought it looked good, better than them flames.
Our fans just love to moan at anything the club tries to do

Not my cup of tea ,and the smoke and it's smell lasted around 20 minutes ,if your a young professional athlete you don't want to be breathing that in . Atmosphere is created by the quality of play not a firework or flashing lights .ps there wasn't any breeze to disperse it .

If it's for every game going forward fair play. If it was just for Disney FC 🤮. I guess we'll find out.

I think it is absolutely stupid for more reasons than it is good.

1. Embarrassing that we were showing off against that lot for a start.

2. How much money are we wasting on these pyrotechnics as well? Bet it is thousands!

3. Maybe they set them off far too late, as it took till 8 mins for the smoke to clear. Not much in the way of wind either, so it just lingered.

4. That surely cannot be good for the players breathing that in, in close proximity, as well as the crowd. It played hell on my chest.

5. Fireworks and the such in the day time is just wrong.
