Agree and it all goes back to Selles and the summer transfer window.

McGuinness, Mee, Matos, Ings, Soumare, Zatterstrom, Chong, Ogbene. All not first XI material and there’s a lot of wages there. Not to mention what we wasted on Barry & Godfrey.

Wilder improved it with Riedewald & Bamford but having not had a pre-season of playing games regularly it’s difficult to get them ‘match fit’.

As he said in his presser we need a good pre-season to get these lads, and the likes of Rothwell and Arblaster ‘match fit’.
