The bench is rotten.

The fitness of first 11 isn't great, especially Gus who I love but is 2 stone too heavy.

Nothing to do with Wilders tactics, we were dominating that first half and should have been 3 Up.

Thought Wrexham were very verage,

Although Peck and Riedi were knackered I would have left it, with hindsight.

The changes had to be made and simply put - 'they are not up to it'

Ings/ Ogbene/ Blaster - literally all appalling.

Not on Wilder for me.

The only option he has is to bring on as many fresh legs as possible. All the subs should be on after 60 minutes even if they're youth team.players. Anybody that can run is better than the gassed players. Past it non athletic types e.g. Ings shouldn't even be on the bench.

Wilder put those 3 on the bench and brought them on

Why was Peck knackered? We haven’t played for a week. It’s because the conditioning at the club is a joke. Get rid of the dead wood coaching staff.

Peck was absolute gank today! His first thought when he gets the ball is backwards. But is he first sub? No. Riedevald is and guess what we lose. FFS!

I seem to remember the same happened at Norwich.
I don’t think one substitution worked today. Maybe Chong was the shining light but he was only on for ten minutes.
Did Hamer do one good thing? I can’t remember any.
I was in a good mood today as well!

Hamer played well.

No they arent. The current first 11, I wouldnt have trusted with looking after my first born, as they would fuck things up between them. 39 games in and some of the 'lads' still arent fit enough to do 90 mins. Poor lambs.

"We were alright for the first 65 mins, but then we got a bit sleepy so we watched a re run of cagney and lacey....as the toddler let himself out the front door...

You wouldnt trust this lot to manage a w@nk.

If im coming across as a wee bit annoyed, its because im shit tired of underperformance and excuses. Which by the way, they are paid very well for.

I largely agree with the OP. I know it's nuanced and subjective but...

Changing manager is literally pointless. Because we'd be where we were last summer. We haven't invested (knowingly) in the infrastructure of the club, and so until we do so, I would trust Wilder the most to hold the ship as steady as possible. But we aren't likely to be competitive.

Why?

Our issue is, we're far from the finished article. That's why we create but are wasteful. Then, we lack the depth like-for-like, to keep the same tempo. Chong, Blaster, Ings, Davies. None bring the same fitness and athleticism as who they replaced. The try, they are honest pros, but they have all had significant injuries in their careers. The style of play then suffers. I won't take any of that "useless wanker" or "their on the beach already" crap. That's just laziness that shows the individual poster up. The players are clearly trying.

The issue now, is that we're unlikely to have the resources needed to address the issues at hand. And what positives we do have (Cooper, O'Hare, Hamer, Seriki, Brooks, Peck) are likely to go.

Like I say, this isn't so much the opposition fighting their way back in to games, but us fading out of them. There's a difference. Combine that with easily knocked confidence and it explains why we are where we are.

He could have brought Hjelde on and move to a back 3.

Or bought McGuinness on and moved Tanganga to RB.

🤷‍♂️

They are trying my patience, that's about all. Poor lambs, asked to run about for 90 minutes once a week, and occasionally twice, my heart goes out to them. Then they get into their upmarket SUV's turn on the heated massaging seats, and go home for a rest. And our weekly wage bill is a paltry £600,000 per week.
