(it was actually off a weight watchers highlight real.. the before section)

Michael Palin "supports" Sheffield United.
That one isn’t a myth. The myth he perpetuated was that he supports both Sheffield teams, because he is one of the loveliest men in Britain and didn’t like to upset anyone. On the Richard Herring podcast a few years ago he put the record straight, during a an anecdote about his mum where he said she actually looked like Chris Wilder.

He used red/white scarf and hat in Golden Gordon as an ode to Sheffield United.

John Burridge was once purposely locked in the Derby managers office to make him sign a contract but climbed out of the window to come sign for the Blades. šŸ¤”
Burridge came and hit the bags a couple of times at Croft House boxing gym. He claimed to the trainer that he had somehow locked himself in a cupboard there.

This shouldn't even be a thing. The man even had his United hip flask with him in Full Circle.
And in the book of Around The World In 80 Days, drifting off to sleep on a dhow in the Arabian Sea he writes
"The soft lapping of the waves and the steady chug of the Kelvin set a soporific mood, and the last detail I remember of the world is that Sheffield United have won 2-1 at Hartlepool..."
Better than Shakespeare that.
