Poor from Wilder

Unfortunately today was back to how it was last year. Awful football and hoping for a bit of Hamer magic rather than any sort of coherent game plan on how to win the match.

Until today I actually thought Wilder had got past that in his current spell with us but that was so shockingly bad I'm actually worried right now.

He's done, sadly, but brings nothing new and offers nothing but clichés and '92 points' references.

Same thought here as well pal, it was that bad I wanted to go home after60mins, but the wife said no😊

Called another fan a ‘Punter’ in his post match interview. This is starting to get on my tits and I find it disrespectful to our fan base. My god, that was turgid today. How many times did we get to the final third, stop, and then go back to the halfway line? And I’m convinced that teletubbie Hamer was trying to get booked from minute one. Another one I won’t be sad to see the last of by the end of this season. What has Seriki done as well? Another class act from Wilder in depleting a young players confidence. Has Seriki had the temerity to question the dear Leaders tactics maybe? A few more performances like today and I can see the fans getting on the Managers and teams back, a total shit show from minute one.

Nobody is saying Sellés is the answer. But those of us with a brain also know Wilder isn't either.
You’ll never win the true believers round.

Blades MAGA, devoted to their leader because he gets pissed with them and dances on tables.

They use the Selles failure as an example that change is never good.

Yes I fully admit he’s kept us up, as any half decent manager would have with this squad. But things could have been so much better too. Generally unfit, too many players with the heart of a pea. Our manager may well get us. But do the players? I genuinely don’t think they do. Not enough of them to make a difference anyway.

I’ve no issue with their performances? My issue sits at Hoever. He was gash, Seriki is the best RB at the club, yet he’s often benched for nothing.

Tanganga/Burrows are the best we’ve got at the moment. I’d rather a service droid from Naboo than Mcguiness.
Often FFS

The fact we have a manager who behaves like one of the coked up old boys at the back of the kop is outright embarrassing, but a portion of our fanbase seem to love it.

Completely agree there’s a number of decent managers who would have also kept us up with this squad, the issue seems to be that the owners don’t know enough about the sport to choose the right person. Hopefully they will realise that and bring in someone to make those decisions then we can start to progress as a club.

Was obvious 20-25 minutes in how the pattern of the game was going, but we didn’t change anything. We didn’t need 5 in midfield & 2 sitting deep against a very poor WBA at home.

We then get a lucky goal against the run of play (WBA came out second half on top) and let the next 30 minutes pass without any intention of pushing for a second goal.

The lack of in game management & ability to turn a game is a big downfall of Wilder’s.

A director of football or something similar that knows the game maybe?

I'm thinking along the same lines.
The thought of watching us pass backwards and keep stopping and doubling back when we have a chance to break just doesn't appeal to me.

Leeds, Burnley and now possibly Middlesbrough got promotion through playing quick attacking football.

One moment today just summed us up I'm sure Hoever was in their half and he passed it all the way back to Davies.
And it went out for a corner . Was it that one, that is what we made of a corner to us in first half.

What we see of Wilder now is exactly what's coming again next season. There's no evidence that he can get back to the glory run that is now years behind us that he is living on and too many are sucking up.

Someone posted about the aim next time is not to get relegated and he's perfect for that.

That is not a reason for him to be allowed to cling on to what he very clearly believes is 'his' job.
Alright pig, pipe down x

Bang on I’m afraid. He has been in control for 31 matches and I can remember 13 of those being turgid, shocking tactics rubbish. Our supporters are like the scene in Midnight express where us non believers are going the “wrong way round “

Felt a bit sorry for Reidewald he kept looking for Burrows to run over the halfway line into the huge empty space there and had to keep turning inside and pass it sideways or back..presume Wilder tells Burrows not to go far from the halfway line.

This sums up the game, additionally though we need to be braver with the ball. How many times did we have the ball in thier half only to work it all the way back to Davies to pump it down the park.
Being brave with the ball is what we lack as well as being brave to kept making runs when we know we won't get the ball.

Bindon was easily our best player and he looked excellent. We'll done to him for such an amazing turnaround

Very weirdly bad today. Probably saves us a lot of unnecessary optimism for the next few weeks though 😄

Funnily enough I thought Davies would be the biggest barrier to us going on a mega run - but he probably came out as our best performer.

It's performances like that which make you wonder about hiring a Ruben Selles type this summer.

I've seen enough of Cannon to know that he'd offer a damn sight more energy than Campbell in the starting eleven. Against that West Brom defence today, and with a few decent balls Cannon would have made an improvement to that lacklustre, one dimensional shit show. Just a pity the manager chose to set us up so negatively so now we'll never know.
Whenever he’s partnered Bamford & Cannon weve had a threat up top .. blew Stoke , Brum , Leicester & Ipswich away playing 2 up top …, but no ..we’ve reverted back to that fkg boring 4231 against a poor team .. feel sorry for Bamford ploughing a lone furrow ⚔️

Last season I would have agreed with this and was personally fed with his antics, however, I do feel like Wilder is much more reserved and, dare I say, professional this season.

Personally, I’d keep Wilder for next year but out of interest, who would you replace him with? I don’t know who is available or not, so curious to see what name we think would be a good option.
