After the disappointment of the Coventry game I really enjoyed that. Saw the team sheet, feared the worst but apart from Davies's diving header I thought he was really steady. Hoeve was good today, had a ten minute spell in the 2nd half where he looked a bit leggy but got his second wind and he had a really good game. Nice to see Campbell bag one, and a good one at that and I was even impressed by Chong today.

Special mention for Sydie again though, outstanding! Riedewald and him controlled the game, they kept the ball moving, dictated the pace and that midfield pairing was very easy on the eye.

Got a bit lucky with the disallowed goal but considering all the changes, I thought we were fucking sound.

Well if Burrows Wembley goal is disallowed for similar then its a good spot by the linesman.

I'd say we protected Davies well but you can see the difference having a fit keeper. Davies distribution was much better than Cooper's has been all season.

Their goal was disallowed cuz one of their lads was offside in the goalie line of sight. It’s widely known as the Vini Souza rule.

Peck was brilliant today.

Mr. Average Cannon did couple of good things but otherwise was a nonentity again

Campbell rocket a thing of beauty

Brooks without Seriki is like Morecambe without Wise

Good first half performance turned into a very scrappy game in second half.
Thankfully QPR are dogshite otherwise we might have lost that one because we looked vulnerable 2nd half.

Was it disallowed because they had an offside player standing infront of Davies?

I think so as it was the linesman who called it. After the robbery in the play off final I'll take that one today. Must say though, the marking on the corner was shockingly bad, happens a lot when we defend set pieces. I assume we're zonal marking as we just stand rooted to the spot and rarely attack the ball.

There’s a huge difference between an offside player physically pushing a goalkeeper into the net to prevent a save and a player being momentarily in front of a goalkeeper who was never making the save.

Today’s decision was a no-brainer on the replay. The PO Final one remains a shocker.

Davies also came for and completely missed a cross late on. Although he was generally steady he made 2 big mistakes which should have cost us.

Great post

…..describes the first half superbly

2nd half - ouch - so so so many misplaced passes and scrappy , lazy , careless football . We give away possession so easily at times .

The subs were awful .

The first half and second half performances sums up our season as a whole - erratic .

But a wins a win .

What a shame our owners totally improved us worse after the playoff final .

Onwards and upwards….who knows being a Blade ?

Excellent performance, aided in part by a QPR team that didnt seem to want to come over the half way line in the first 60 mins. Thought Bindon was outstanding as was Burrows. Peck and Jairo controlled midfield and Ohare and Chong got on the ball a lot. Campbell goal apart, which was superb, was pretty anonymous and he missed a much easier chance earlier.

Backing was superb but something needs doing about that death trap upper tier. Any fire in there and you would never get out.

The difference being VAR of course

We played well yesterday , we kept the ball a lot better & played with a good tempo & that was no coincidence with Peck / Jairo partnership back at its best .
Second half we were comfortable , probably our most composed away performance in a while . Think ppl saying QPR were poor takes away from what was an excellent professional performance , we never allowed them into the game .

one of their lads was offside in the goalie line of sight = and pushed davies back into the goal just before the cross
