Monty Python - Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Played in 1991, after our pub side#1, beat their team of global 'superstars'.

There then followed the usual, 'you caught us off guard, but we'll do you at Hillsbro..' bollocks.

Kids, if you aren't sure what happened next, ask a kundly uncle about Robert Davison esq.

Apparently on Boxing Day we lost the game in the tunnel before the match. It kicked off and Sabella shit hisen .... so legend has it. No way would our team in 1991 let that happen, if owt it would be completely the reverse. In 1991 they had the flair players, but we had the players born to play a Sheffield Derby.

I hate tempting fate and like to keep my powder dry, but here's hoping 22/02 is a date that will go down in the blades history books 🙏🙏🙏

Down down by status quo.....I'll be disappointed if this isn't played. Mind you..... we've got to make sure we win the bloody game first - it would be peak United to fuck this up.
That’s my approach. Celebrate after.

Let the lads do their job, get it done and wilder can dance on as many tables as he wants

Am I the only one who hates the post-match music on a day like today? It's partly that the songs were uninspired dross (Cum On Feel The Noize? seriously?) but mostly I can't understand why anyone would want to drown out the sound of thousands of Blades singing by playing music over the speakers. Totally unnecessary, and negatively affected the atmosphere.

Fuck sake Sinclair. I’ll still give him a pass. He’s an icon of Bramall Lane. I’d like the club to build a statue in the car park once he’s retired.

I didn't get Cum On Feel the Noize either- I think Get Down and Get With It would have been more appropriate...

They did play Beautiful Day by U2, might have been a dig
And the Happy Hour - absolutely intentional...

EDIT: None of the songs chosen (to my knowledge) reflected, directly, the relegation. Every single one of the songs could absolutely be explained by the fact we had just won a derby. As fun as it sounds to play songs directly referencing the relegation, I suspect that wouldn`t have been seen to be "ok" by the authorities.

Comeback Kid from Kasabian in the pre-match build up too felt like it was aimed at "the visitors".

"Reap what you sow
Comeback Kid
Says hello"

This one's probably a bit niche for this thread, but it's been my earworm today.

Gonna make a big splash, don't have to talk trash, in the littlest league possible

The most rudimentary division of competition where no worlds collide
To be the biggest fish in the smallest pond on the littlest island where I shall reside...
