“And imagine conceding a goal against the worst Wednesday — and Championship — side ever, that happens to have a lower wage bill than many league 2 teams.
Forever in our shadow.”

Would love to know which made up League 2 teams have a higher wage bill than Wednesday in this magical made up land.

Absolute scruffs and as bitter comments as the pre match ones. They havent had anything to celebrate at home since beating Peterborough nearly 3 years ago. Who'd begrudge a city rival from winning a derby game with such vitriol.

Glad this sideshow is out of the way.

We’ve played a team worse than Oxford, taken 3 points and overcome all the hubris that accompanies the derby.

It’s simply time to move on now. We’re the ones who have tipped them over the edge but so what? It won’t count for anything if we don’t then show our credentials by beating Coventry at home.

Now there’s a team whose fans are really up themselves in recent times.

“I find it quite flattering. Today was there boxing day and they failed.”

We won and got 3 points, in turn, the pigs lost and subsequently got relegated because we beat them, at Bramall Lane nonetheless. I see that as a success. A battering would have been the cherry on top, but going down to 10 men didn't help.

Of course we would’ve loved a huge score and at 2-0 after 20 mins the game was effectively done. We sat back until half time and didn’t have the same intensity.

What Phillips was thinking with the red, it as daft and a bit nasty, but also completely unnecessary. They’d had a few players booked in key positions. We had to be patient.

In the end the result was all that mattered. It always does. It’s unreal that we’ve done the double double and down.

Disappointed? Fuck me, not a chance. It’s the most unreal feeling that they’ll never experience. And they hate it

We doubled them 2-0 last season.

We doubled them 5-1 this season.

Our last eight meetings has given an overall score of 11-3 in our favour, 15pts for us, 0 for them.

Only Wednesday can look at the above and see positives.

I can't work out whether it's just cope or they are genuinely walking around with smiles on their faces because they didn't get hammered by a club they think they're better than but haven't beaten in 8 games. Must be some crazy mental gymnastics going on in their heads

Since the “Boxing Day massacre”….
  • 91/92 (5-1) double against their superstars.
  • three other doubles, including a double-double.
  • most goals scored in an away derby with 4-2 bouncing day win against Carlo’s superstars.
  • biggest away derby win on record - this season 3-0.
  • 6 wins at Hillsborough to their 1 at Bramall Lane.
  • unbeaten in 14 years and 8 games.
  • and beat them to “officially” relegate them today.

And yet we haven’t “avenged it”. Silly, deluded twa

I’m 49 and I believe we have done the double over them five times mate? 91-92, 05-06, 17-18, 24-25, 25-26?

Unless Colin did it more than once??

If I was a pig fan I'd be more concerned that they might fall straight through to League Two. All the signs are there still in admin, not a great deal to be seen on the take-over progressing. Even if it does, it is the Poker player and his AI that sources players from eastern European back waters. Who's to say they will have the finances to even start next season, and if they do they could be in line for more point deductions. They will no doubt think they will piss the league, they might just find League One tough to get out of.

We relegated them at Bramall Lane. This will sting them for years and years and years. They could go straight down to League 2 and realistically not have a chance to avenge this for the best part of the decade.

But the pigs are buzzing. Of course they are.

8 games and (on Thursday) 14 years.

As far as I can tell the longest fallow period (i.e. no wins) - League games only - that exists in the Steel City Derby is our stretch from 3rd Oct 1970 to 17 Nov 1991 - 7,715 days - albeit there were only 3 games played in that period.

The equivalent figure for SWFC (1990) is 5,141 from 26 Dec 1979 to 22-Jan-1994 - 6 games.

Their current run is 5,109 - and this will increase (barring a relegation for us this season) to at least 5,700 (assuming we play them opening day of the 27-28 season, which we won't because these games are always in Sept onward) setting a new record fallow period for them.

18 points for us, 3 for them.

I feel like the new Silent Blade

The only thing they have on us is a desperation to be classed as a Sheffield team when they are quite clearly Barnsley based.
Imagine being so shit you have to dream up a world where you’re team rivals Real Madrid. Imagine having to cling to 0-0 as a win and scoring a goal in defeat as a point of celebration and actually admitting to being the worst Championship team EVER, relegated at your biggest ‘rival’ and still thinking your massive!! People have been locked up in padded cells for less. The gaslighting and utter stench from the sty has reached such levels than fuck we don’t have to play those whiney petulant fucks again for a while.

Only one thing seems certain today: Wednesday's global fanbase are going to be absolutely buzzing that they only lost 2-1. Just like they were delighted about only losing 3-0 earlier in the season. They're also not bothered whatsoever about being relegated at their biggest rivals.

You've got to hand it to those racist, seat-chucking animals: they're full of class.

Yeah, what the hell is that all about?
I know we've had a few sing the Bannan sex offender thing which wasn't my cup of tea but they often resort to this stuff.

Wilder in the Epstein files, suggesting Sydie is rapist....odd behaviour.

Thanks Roy,
To me Boxing Day was avenged with the 3-0 at their place earlier this season. Relegating them was great. The fact it was only 2-1 doesnt really bother me bcos it was a win with 10 men which is always good 👍
