The rule is 2 or more first squad members involved we lose.

Good to see we are keeping up that tradition. 3 1 down

Is Phil the only saddo who attends these games?
Seriously you must have nothing better to do
Single, dont drive, encyclopedic memory of bus time tables, collects team sheets, memories of long forgotten U18s from the 90s, am I close?

Attending united academy games around the country is definitely a more fulfilling hobby than spending your time personally attacking strangers on the internet for having a hobby…

I am aware John Cutsbushes is joshing. Given I write a parody of obsessive football fans, I don't mind that. Welcome it even.

But, running with it ...

I am married. Heading towards 30 years. Met my Wife on an England football tour to New Zealand. Brian Deane was out there as well.

I have never driven, never had a licence, and never felt oooohhhh I wish I had a car. Cost a fortune don't they? Insurance, tests, repairs, fines, and you still have to put electricity in. FFS.

I was using computers in the 1970s. No need to memorise timetables, my phone buzzes me when the 83 is on it's way.

I don't collect any memorabilia, certainly not teamsheets.

I tend to hold only mad shit in my memory. So, if this U18 game in the 1990s had two players wearing #6, or if the dugouts blew over with substitutes still sat in them, then yes, I'll remember.

What John Cutsbushes has cleverly done is Frankenstein's Monster together a number of perfectly reasonable Carrier Bag Firm clichés and stereotypes and attributed them to me.

I've had a big think. There are two CBF who fit, although strictly speaking single they do have sons/daughters and grandchildren.

There is another CBF who fits, but doesn't collect teamsheets.

I don't think John Cutsbushes hybrid captures anyone perfectly. But good fun though.

I am proud, fucking proud, that I have nothing better to do. He's absolutely nailed me there.

Up The Firm

And long may it continue … I wish I had the time to join the CBF. Up the Firm!

Greystones Blade - first match back in 1965 and counting… the 1971 team was the best United team I’ve ever seen.

The thing about the Carrier Bag Firm is "many" fans are in it, and aren't self aware enough to realise. There's no membership fee, no application form, no initiation rites, no rules, no lists, no files. It's aspirational. If you think you'd like to be in the CBF Greystones Blade , then I've got fucking news for you - you are.

Welcome

(See also John Cutsbushes )

The CBF are a fully inclusive Firm. All welcome. No Runners.
