Player Suggestion Ryan Kent

[ThatJa]

Free agent, still only 29...

Worth a punt for an extra winger with a bit of pace till end of the season?

No

Our squad list has been published and we have 25/25 players registered.

25/26. We've left Shackleton out.

No

[KMC-1889]

He’s still available for a reason…

Good spot! I missed that one.

1st IG post in 3 years. Definitely trying to put himself on the market

[HeySethUTB]

I’d go for him, my only reservation is character. Is he a bad egg, or just incredibly unlucky because it’s been a dramatic fall from grace.

[Pedro Verde]

Hes basically not good enough anymore .Bombed at Rangers
Hes probably a Wilder project and weve had enough of those over the years

[ThatJa]

Can't be worse than we already have in that position, surely.

[Macfarlane21]

If Wilder and the recruitment team are absolutely set on bringing in 3 more defenders, surely Kent is a decent cheap option to bolster the attack / add depth and worth a punt for a contract till the end of the season

[Macfarlane21]

We signed 2 free agents after the window closed last season on short contracts, which worked out pretty well. We need creative depth...

Honestly I'd really not be against this or Matondo for cover. If BBD gets injured or unavailable we're a bit screwed. Especially while One's out

[CPB]

He's not been with a club for a while though? Think there are better frees.

Looked like BBD pulled up last night too.

[MayorOJC]

I'd take him, if only to give Bamford a half decent partner in BBD

[Weasel]

I think its also important that if we do bring in a free agent, we try to be proactive about it and do it soon. Then any incoming player or players have time to get up to speed and get fitness, rather than being reactive when we get a few injuries and are down to the bare bones, and then look to bring in a free agent who is well short of match fitness.

We need to identify an out of contract attacking player or two, get them in on trial, get them up to speed, and if all goes well, offer them a short term deal for them to prove their worth something longer.

[Hallamboy87]

No! The Scottish league is similar to the Championship, and he did okay but was playing against teams like Livingston and St Mirren who we would send our U'21 out to loan.
Considering he's not played in a year and he has an attitude problem! Not for me

Cramp.
