Will bea handful in league 1 if we can keep hold.
 
If we're going to go down, I'd rather we did it watching Seriki, Brooks, Peck and eventually Arblaster.

With what we have up top, we might as well start giving some minutes to Ryan Oné too.

And can Luke Faxon really be much worse than Adam Davies?
 
I can almost understand why Wilder has been playing a centre back at right back to make us more defensively solid (even though it doesn't) but not even having him as an option to add some pace off the bench has been weird, you could instantly see the difference it made.

I was amazed he wasn't on the bench last Saturday. We went into the game with no right back and ended up putting Matos on when chasing the game. Absolute baffling decision from Wilder

I'm a Wilder in kind of guy, but I agree on this..
From what we're seeing on the pitch, Brooks, Seriki and Oné deserve much more game time than McGuiness, Ogbene and Cannon.

They are young and are not afraid to take risks and take players on.

You win nowt with kids?!?!?! How did that story end?

I'd add Barry to that equation too. Much rather have a young loan player like him, alongside our own young bucks than seeing Ogbene, Ings and Davies...
 
Any manager worth his salt would be desperate to work with a player like Seriki, a player with game winning attributes and coachable weaknesses. Instead he’s not trusted and has to sit out for months while players with half of his ability are favoured over him. The poor performances from Shackleton and Matos when coming off the bench has forced him into making the correct decision, I would go a step further though and suggest he should start the next game.

Seriki/Brooks is a better option down the right than Tanganga/Ogbene who have been so disappointing.

Completely agree and is there another RB from the academy so Tanganga can move back to the centre.

Maybe bring the Swedish kid in.

Sack off Bindon, Godfrey, use Mee as a spare

Ings looks completely past it as well, much more so than I thought he would

Get rid of Barry & Ogbene and try the Nigerian lads out.

If we’re going down we need to see what we’ve got in the ranks, not keep using the crap loan players we’ve got

Completely agree.

We have some good young prospects but (except from Peck) they all get minutes here and there and never any consistent game time to get into a rhythm.

McGuinness / Ogbene / Ings / Mee are the experienced players keeping them out the side (and Cannon). They’ve all been average to poor so why not prioritise our own young, athletic players & give them the chance.

Could we find a like for like replacement for £10m ?
We need to stop selling our assets so cheaply.
 



For a club with our finances, players like Seriki, Brooks, Peck and Arblaster are the only way that we can grow the heart of our club. However, that shouldn't make us restrict their progress.

If we can get a deal that Femi wants to take, and is good for us as well, then we should take it, but loaned back to the end of this season. Sachdev is nearly back, and we can but try to develop Femi 2.0 - (or is it Baldock 3.0 or Walker 4.0)? Everton don't need him this season, and we can still do something.

We have seen what happens when we lie down and concede our right side.
