New Swindon Home kit. That would look nice reversed or in Yellow and Black

It goes a little something like this.......

Gazelles aren't 'Shell Tops', different lacing. Gazelles were always? or at least predominantly suede. Gazelles were named after Wilma Rudolph the great sprinter, Gazelles were ruined in the late 1980s when they acquired the word 'adidas®' in a pocket (still exists only on Sambas & thats why I don't have any) at the top of the three stripes on the outside of the foot.

So some of us took to buying old stock from local neighbourhood sports shops (Clapham Sports actually) and some mates from Leeds who were, by the way, old school friends of Brian Deane wrote an article in style magazine du jour 'The Face' and 'Old Skool' was born. Adidas realised that the old designs were more popular and stopped manufacturing the versions with the offensive trade-mark.

Apart from anything they had tried to use cheaper suede and fewer colours. You used to be able to tell which factory had made them by slight differences in the curve of the little toe cap. There have always been different shoes available in different countries for instance Illie Nastases have always been popular in France yet unobtainable for long periods over here.

Because its like that and that's the way it is,

MCA RIP

Stan Smiths are really nice. Not had a pair for a few years though, keep meaning to pick some up.

Old git here......can you still get Stan Smith? Proper trainers they were!

Brought them back a few years ago, only to sell them off cheap and then "re-launch" them again recently.

I got my Stan Smiths about 8-10 years ago and although I haven't actually been looking to see if they've been available all that time, they always seem to be in the shops.

TJ Hughes had then in fairly recently, not sure if they still have.
