Any players you had no strong feeling about whatsoever, and we signed them and you absolutely hated them with a passion?

My first was Ian Hamilton. He did almost nothing right ever, and yet seemed to be first name on the team sheet. Absolutely infuriated me!

Ended up playing for Timbertop in local football. Ex Villa I believe as well

Hate too strong, but never liked Darius Henderson. I remember a sending off at Watford that killed the game and was so avoidable.

A cunt at S6, and possibly the most misjudged signing by any manager/board, in my 55 years watching United. As he ran to the kop with his arms aloft, kids were coining him, scaling the fences and trying to seriosusly injure our new 'wonder signing'.

I have to admit that mine is unusual and probably not shared by anyone else - its Callum Robinson.

I'd wanted us to sign him for a couple of seasons when we eventually did - I couldn't believe how slow and cowardly he was compared to what I'd seen of him at Preston.

In hindsight I suppose he had gotten a really bad injury the season before he joined us that is bound to make you slow down and think-twice before committing to 50-50's, but at the time every minute that he took away from the magical KFC-enthusiast Lys Mousset felt like a slap in the face.

Hate is a strong word, but I could never take to Paddy McCarthy. Seem to remember he wouldn’t come North to train and just generally played like he openly didn’t care. Seem to remember him being particularly bad away at Chesterfield.

Mark Rankine is another. Never hated him, but didn’t really like him playing for us.

Agree with all of this. I still get angry thinking about him now. And with him being Palace's assistant I still see him on TV fairly often.
