The 1901 FA Cup Final Programme involving Sheffield United and Spurs went for £19,000 this afternoon.

Did anyone on here buy it ;)

Add your buyers commission it adds up to £22,325.

The ticket went for £4800...that's a cool £5640 for a piece of paper with a corner missing

Happy days for the auctioneers

Swiss, I've got this idea that'll produce superb returns. All it needs is someone with more money than sense who'll provide the seed funding.......now, who do I know who has that level of funding???

I'm sure that SwissBlade will give you some seed IIYB ;)

Kenilworth, there I was, alluding to something quite innocent...and then you come along and in best Kenneth Williams mode slip in a reminder of Swiss's more personal habits. The bugger's not getting anywhere close to me, even if his seed is red and white.

What do you with stuff like that? Can't really even frame it can you? Wouldn't it fade?

£4,800 for a ticket! And that was a ticket for the uncovered stand. Imagine how much you could get for a ticket in the covered bit.

Kick off 3.30?? So they fucked the fans around in those days too? Or was it on BT Sport?

gavtheblade, itsinyerblood Kenilworth

It definitely wasn't me buying the programme, I wish I had a spare GBP 22k to chuck around on footy programmes.

I don't actually have any money, its all been pissed away!

Swiss, the adage, "The lady doth protest too much", seems appropriate. Stop digging mate, you're amongst friends. If you have a semi-secret passion for old programmes, football or otherwise, good on yer UTB!

When science conquers time travel, that ticket will suddenly have been worth every penny.

I hope whoever paid the money gets them install in the Hall Of Fame. Doubt it somewhat though.

Could have been bought by a Spurs fan? If so, hopefully it could be installed in the Tottenham equivalent of Legends of the Lane?
