I think it had already been estasblished that Mester Gage,was easily infliuenced online, during covid. If at all covid ever happened, and it wasn't in fact a deep state conspiracy.

Then a staunch Oirish Republican got outed for being a bit dead too many times.

In between we had some 'come on then', between leat and right wing keyboard hardmen, and I've had a couple so I stirred it a bit.

Otherwise, it's just yer' nornal Freedee bantz, innit.

It not a patch on the “family member IRA gunman” fantasy where this brave hero and distant relative “planted” two Black & Tans and lodged in the family home for a while.

It turned out he wasn’t a relative at all, didn’t plant anyone, probably never fired a gun and most likely never actually existed.

Probably hit the Jamesons too hard watching a double bill of The Informer and Whistle Down The Wind and getting a bit mixed up.

I was brought up in Dronfield, 1960's/70's. It’s outwardly "nice", but I was so glad when I finally escaped in 1984. There were some good people, but you're right about the Little Englander tag. It was very inward looking, and too many Alan Partridge driving glove/golf club types for my liking. I've never been back.

Last went to Dronny in around 1991. Bunch of us out, young lads, hoping to find some nice looking lasses. Little did we know the impact of inbreeding, eyes too close together, women with 'taches. The only place worse I have ever been on a nightout is Japanese Whispers in Barnsley, circa 1991 again. Saw a lass there kicking off and it took 3 bouncers to scrape her from another lass who she was administering a good hiding to. Made Roxy's feel like walking into the Raffles Hotel, Singapore
