Just looked at the match report and just realised it was O'Hare who had scored! Anyone watching from G Block in South Stand thought it was Brooks?

At first look from the BLUT I thought it was Brooks’s shot that had hit a defender, the replay on the big screen showed it was O’Hare following in.Just looked at the match report and just realised it was O'Hare who had scored! Anyone watching from G Block in South Stand thought it was Brooks?
It was a great pass or a shocking miss! Either way I'll take it.Just looked at the match report and just realised it was O'Hare who had scored! Anyone watching from G Block in South Stand thought it was Brooks?
Think it would probably have gone in anyway. It was a great pass or a shocking miss! Either way I'll take it.

Yes it wouldThink it would probably have gone in anyway.
I initially thought that but the replay on the stadium video looked like it might have missed.
Think if Brookes had tried to score…the goalie might have saved it….so it ended up being a great pass.
Think Brookes deserves a mention today….for the 15 minutes after coming on he was electric.
That’s the Brookes we know and love….he just went for it with massive energy and determination as though he was playing for a contract.
Well done Andre…you made a big difference after coming on.
And played on the left hand side, using his stronger foot. Hopefully that should be the norm from now on. He looked much more comfortable and driven.I initially thought that but the replay on the stadium video looked like it might have missed.

I think it might have span in...but CoH was right to make sure
Having seen a higher up offside check view I agree with you tbf!Not too sure that’s going in.
Brooks definitely had a better game than last time out, when he came on he pressed well and got stuck in & looked fired up, wouldnt say he was electric either.I initially thought that but the replay on the stadium video looked like it might have missed.

Tony Pritchett would've said it was D'Jaffo. And that Brian Gayle will be back fit soon.Tony Pritchett would have said it was Brooks.
I really rate the ladI initially thought that but the replay on the stadium video looked like it might have missed.

Silent gets some facts wrong. Shock news! There were other occasions when I got the wrong scorer. v Bournemouth at home in February 2020, after the match I was asking my son "Why are they interviewing Lundstram? He played just for a few minutes". He replied "that is because he scored the winner!" I had thought for a while it was McBurnie who scored the winner! In the 1970s watching from the BLUT v Carlisle in October 1970 and v Bristol City in January 1975 I hadnt realised that it was Dearden who got the final touch until I read the Green Un match reports in the evening. I thought Woody (v Carlisle) and TC (v Bristol C) scored with cross shots. All at the Kop End. Cant remember if I got the scorer wrong when the goal was scored in the Lane End.
Utter gash is extreme. He’s had good games, he’s had average games, he’s had poor games.Brooks definitely had a better game than last time out, when he came on he pressed well and got stuck in & looked fired up, wouldnt say he was electric either.
Some players seem better as impact subs than when they start, and it seems hes turning out that way. Been utter gash since breaking into 1st team sqaud when starting a game, but most of time when used as a sub, hes not been that bad and adds energy.
Your memory’s faulty. He hasn’t been “utter gash” since breaking into the squad.Brooks definitely had a better game than last time out, when he came on he pressed well and got stuck in & looked fired up, wouldnt say he was electric either.

It’s worth remembering that he made his league debut in the Premier League against Liverpool when Wilder came back. He played really well before tiring.
He then played in a run of games. Bear in mind that he was a young lad coming into a badly struggling side that was way out of its depth in that company. His form was up and down, as you might expect. But he did pretty well considering. In particular, he was excellent at Villa Park - the Sky commentary team were very complimentary - and had a really good game in the home match against West Ham. Deadbeat’s reports on these performances are easily located if you need more detail.
The key thing to remember is that he wasn’t being played out wide on the right. He was playing left side in an attacking midfield role. He worked hard and tackled back. He looked a good prospect.
Keen Blade has been banging the drum for ages (and as recently as this morning!) about the problems with the fashion for “inverted wingers” and he states very well the case against. I agree with him and I have “liked” a lot of his posts on the subject.
I like Brooks for all sorts of reasons. A local lad coming through the ranks is something that has an obvious appeal. But I’m not starry-eyed about him. There are lots of things he needs to work at to make himself a better player. His attitude has been questioned. He sometimes seems to lack confidence. But he’s potentially a very good player for us.
And he needs to be used in a position that plays to his strengths. That’s a position on the left, not hugging the right touchline.
Did well when he came on!Brookes was in no way Electric- good god our standards
What an engine O'Hare has instigates the move follows up to get the touch!Important thing is Cal was pushing into the box to make sure. Bit concerned by where Ty was going after watching the replay.
