A Blades legend who will forever be remembered for his crucial goal that stopped Wednesday fans bouncing. How we could do with a player like him today, who as well as creating chances, knew where the back of the net was!

Many Happy Returns Mark.

It says a lot about our current plight though when we wax lyrically and have so much nostalgia for our very recent past.

Up there with my favourite players. My daughter when we managed to bag a picture with him . ( derby away) . Said she felt like she had meet her favourite rock star!

Wouldn't mind seeing Hamer or O'Hare in the Duffy role. I'd say they both might be technically better or having higher ability but Duffy just fit into us perfectly.

Watching this highlights back brings a smile to the face.
Also chalk and cheese to how we play now. Speed, aggression, skill, attack, attack, attack.
Almost depressing to watch, we've regressed that far.

Tbh, the rot set in once JOC for injured and COVID obviously happened. We've never recaptured that magic since, and it was magic those few seasons.

Great player for the Blades.Would love to have seen him have a go in the Prem,he certainly earned the chance.Says it all about his time at The Lane when folk still talk about the ‘Duffy Role’. It ranks alongside the ‘Fosbury Flop’ in sporting terminology.

With the exception of Iliman, nobody has run at defenders like Duffy since. Was hoping Gus was going to be that player, but he sometimes flatters to deceive.
