We had 2 bites of the apple and failed with that last season. Top of the league at the end of March and now 10 points from 11 matches under Wilder since April. With 37 games left and 3 points on the board an average of 1 point a game probably won’t be enough to see us up and we aren’t even close to that.

Prestridge was here last season. The players weren’t fit enough then, either. I wonder how well some of our players look after themselves when left to their own devices?

And it's not all down to Selles either. They have had plenty of time to shake him out of their system now.

I genuinely don't know if it's some kind of prolonged hangover from Wembley, combined with a new coach coming in and ripping into them? But I have never seen a group of players look so lacking in belief compared to their former selves.

Wilder has only had 4 games with them, but seen as though most of them ran through walls for him before, you'd have hoped it wouldn't take long for them to respond this time.

Well, they ran through walls for him for 60 minutes before they started blowing out of their arses.

But if they are the top players they think they are they shouldn’t need a motivator to get them to do that. Professional pride should take care of it, as it does for all top players. It we need a motivator rather than a clever tactician we are recruiting the wrong players.

Whilst employing Selles and the late action in the transfer window were clear errors,the current negative tactics , playing one up front, keeping Cannon in the squad and starting Ogbene at wing back is not the Board's fault

But we are still watching the same system that failed at the end of last season. Selles was clearly a disaster but to attempt to suggest Wilder doesn’t bear some responsibility when he appears to rely solely on Plan A, one up front and slow slow build up. Then there’s Cannon…….

Where l do have some sympathy for him is defenders switching off so much leading to goals.

I don't believe that unless you have evidence to the contrary rather than hearsay, however I would believe they brought Wilder back without interviewing or approaching others for the vacant role.
