Who have we brought in that's league one quality? I think the players we have brought in are decent I think the old blades are the ones letting us down at the moment hamer no spark like there has been every other season, Campbell does nothing every match, peck massive let down this season, burrows not good enough, COH certain things shows sparks but not enough goals or assists for me to be the creative spark

Baring tanganga other players we’ve signed aren’t any good. Might have played have that level doesn’t mean they’re any good

Chong did more in 15 mins than capmbell did previous 75

Mcguiness better than JLT, as will Mee be

At half time I thought we would be better off matching them with a back 3 (which we could have done without having to make a sub) just to ease some of the pressure on the back line.

Started out with 4-2-3-1 and we could have turned that into 3-4-2-1 without a sub.

We have to go 3 at back. I never want to see Godfrey at right back again and Burrows needs to be released to play in his natural position further up the pitch.
 
…Mee should be in for the next one. I think he would organise things at the back and that should include our powder puff midfield.

The signings are a huge problem. Mcguiness is poor and worse than Robinson, christ know what people see in him. Ogbene poor, matos have looks more like a 800m runner than a footballer, Barry is out of his depth, chong poor, godfrey should be strolling this division and isn’t, Bindon is miles of the level and probably done. Tanganga looks good but can’t do it all
The summer transfer window will be looked back on as both a really poor one, expensive one and panicked. January could be chaos with the amount we will need to get out and also sign.

Soz guys, but I’m starting to lose faith with our little “superstar” now.
Just when this team desperately needs a bit of star quality to get us out of this hole, we’re getting the square root of fuck all.
With my Blades tinted glasses off I’m starting to realise why nobody wanted to take him into the Prem or elsewhere.

On paper this looks like what we need to be going with. Possibly dropping Peck for Soumare if the latter is up to much as I really think Peck needs a rest.

Either that or we have one CAM and pop One or Cannon up top with Campbell. We're desperate for goals and the thinking could be that two strikers gives us a better chance (although considering the personnel we have in that department I'm not sure that's true).
 
I think like most that the change from Selles to Wilder would see a really marked improvement.

And to be fair we did look more solid compared to previous although not solid enough. Certainly effort there but quality not on show at all. The weather did play it's part. We didn't cope with the weather that well..

A win or two could change the dynamic in the team. But right now I do think we have recruited poorly.
Tanganga is a good one on paper. McGuinness should be good enough too.
But it's a brand new back four right now.

You look at many of our other signings and opinions from their previous clubs and you could say they are doing what they expected. Ogbene had some decent reviews. But Matos, Godfrey, Chong all came with reviews that suggested they might not be all that.

Wilder described us as chaotic in the 2nd half. You could argue that chaos started when he was sacked.

Many of us said it after the Boro loss. But to recruit for Selles at the end of August to then come back after the break and sack him was pure chaos too.

I think we might need to see a change in formation to try and get the best out of this lot until Jan.

I can't understand why we didnt switch to a 3-5-2 formation yesterday. It suits our current set players. In the past CW has been wed to this formation to the extent of almost being stubborn about it when players changed, but when it probably makes sense to go back to it for a wee while, he stuck with the same formation that has had us losing every game.

I agree, Campbell if he stays in the team needs a partner uf front with him. Hes not a natural lone centre forward. I actually think Moore would have been a good fit for him this season but I can understand why the club cashed in on him tbf.
 

What’s the point of having wingers if the provide the team with absolutely fuck all?
They don’t run at the box, the don’t beat defenders, they don’t shoot at goal…. And they don’t fucking cross!
