Would you splash the cash

Re: Nuno I imagine there’s 0% chance we would get a manager who has just got his team into the top 8 in the Premier League and into Europe. He’ll be in the frame for a very decent job in the top flight at a PL, La Liga, Serie A club.
Yup

Stick to Carrick

I really rate Nuno but not sure that I can forgive him for not relegating Florist after they had been set up for the drop. It was a tap in really.

Mate, have you seen the table? We're the only club in the whole of the EFL without a single point.

As long as the guy ain't sacrificing live goats and painting himself with human blood whenever there's a full moon, I think we're going to have to forgive any minor indiscretions, such as not relegating Forest, in any manager who's prepared to come to us who is actually capable of getting us some points. I really can't emphasize that last bit enough.

if it was down to me and if it meant he took the job i would pay Nuno more than anyone else at the club

But unfortunately he'll be in demand in the top 4 leagues in the world let alone on shoreham st!

I'll await the green confirmed notice on the goat sacrificing thing before I decide for sure...

If Nuno is still out of work at the next International Break and we're still struggling, I'd be all over it. Really want Sellés to do well but if, after ten games, it appears that the jobs too big, we should be going for genuine quality, expensive and an attractive style.
Can we afford to wait till next break ?
A 5th of the way through season ? I think not .Should have gone already!

£10m for the season, and next year CoH will get him MGW, McAtee and Ndiaye for the corruption league...

Yep, would love to get him but it’s not going to happen

The more expensive the better

It’s not necessarily about splashing the cash it’s about what other options Nuno will have.

There will start to be a few top division sackings over the next few weeks and he’ll undoubtedly have offers from the top divisions.

It won’t really matter if we can match them financially, which is extreamly unlikely as their revenue will easily exceed ours it’s the divisional status and concern for his own CV that’ll put us way out the running.

After Chelsea, Potter as an example refused to entertain some smaller premier league jobs waiting for a bigger club. He was still getting paid by Chelsea but they’re either paid off upfront or put on gardening leave. Financially these blokes don’t need to jump straight back into work

More chance of shitting good unfortunately it’s really not realistic in the slightest

Nuno will either get a very very good European job or another prem gig when the sacking cycle begins in earnest next month.

Cooper I would approach if I were the owners but he’d have been my pick last time. Not sure it would take a mega offer to get him either he’s no longer the shiny fashionable new toy for Prem teams to chase I think a middling job abroad or a top end championship job are his likely next destinations.

Nuno will still be paid until his contract runs out, so unless your going to match what he was getting at Forest why would he sign for any club, especially us?

Not sure what Nuno has earned at Forest, Spurs, Wolves, Porto, Valencia, in Saudi etc but I'm pretty certain it's been in a different stratosphere to what we could afford. And that's before you consider the fact he probably wouldn't be interested in coming here at this point.
