Here you are mattbianco1 :)

So many things to mention, the individual and team performances, three goals, what a cup run and season we've had, the overriding feeling that NC has 'given us our club back'.

But the one thing I want to say is this. Mere seconds after Meyler had put the game beyond doubt there were nearly 33,000 Blades on their feet applauding the team's efforts, knowing we'd lost the game. I think it was in part in appreciation for the whole performance, but it felt mostly like a unanimous recognition that they'd done the right thing throwing everything forward for the equaliser and we needed to thank them for that. I've never ever witnessed something like that at a match before, and probably never will again.

I cannot believe how close this group of players, the management and the fans have become in the last few months. We are truly United.

What he said!

Who said punks and hippies can't agree?

Indeed.

IF we were to lose there were 3 ways we could have lost:

1. Losing by 1 goal in a sleep inducing performance where we defend solidly and never look like scoring - i.e. the usual Wembley performance.
2. Being hammered by four or five
3. Giving everything, scoring a few goals and going down in a blaze of glory.

We went for 3.

So proud of the lads this morning, I am hurting badly as are my 2 sons but we gave it everything and have nothing to be ashamed of......COYRAWW

I'm not hurting, I'm just enjoying football again and I LIKE IT. So looking forward to the summer and next season first to 100 points?

That was only the 4th time there has been 8+ goals in an FA Cup semi-final (1892, 1899, 1958).

I'm in "proud" camp with you lot :-)

Plenty to be optimistic about after the second half of this season - I think we're gonna have a few good years ahead of us, for once.

Can't really criticise anything about yesterday's game - ok they hit us with 3 goals in a 20 minute spell but hey ho, there is a 2 league difference. Their equaliser for 2-2 was a little unlucky i thought.

Proud of the team and good to see us score at Wembley.

Absolutely bursting with pride. That first half was incredible, I don't think I've ever seen us play so well. Just brilliant.

Hull were always going to come out all guns blazing in the second half and we just couldn't cope with them in that first 15 minutes. We kept going though and when Murphy put that one away, there was that bit of hope we could pull it back when we continued to push forward, and then when Maguire went on that little run and got into space on the edge of the box, I thought that was going to hit the back of the net. The roof would have come off if he had. And then the inevitable happened, we had to go for it but by doing that left us wide open for Hull to get us on the counter attack.

That moment when Hull scored their 5th and we all stood up as one and applauded the team was amazing. Thinking back to it now brings a tear to my eye.

Absolutely gutted that we lost after playing so well, winning at half time and scoring 3 goals, but so, so proud of them. What a performance, what a day, what a weekend (I went Saturday and came back today).

Up The Blades.

Thank god we were watching our honest lads bust a gut for us instead of cheating cunts like Suarez.

We got the better game on Sunday.

So proud of what happened yesterday. Keep reading all the comments made by people and listening to a lot of journalists and commentators praising us, fills me up and my heart bursting with pride. The other lot will never have the feeling we have experienced and they are still hurting. Days on the tv,radio and papers no mention of them, how that must hurt

My seat was next to the press box. When Ull scored their 5th and all Blades to a man stood cheered and clapped they were looking at us in amazement. Not sure I have witness anything like it myself and by the looks it, they hadn't either.

Just a wonderful day
... and not one of the journalists mentioned it.

Not read any reports other than The Guardian one that was linked on here. Was on Look North earlier, Harry and Sports women both said it was something not seen by them before.

When we went 4-2 down, I said to my son that we hadn't scored 4 all season and now had to do it against a PL team. When Maguire went on that run, I was thinking we would....

Without taking anything away from the build up and execution of Hulls fifth goal, I thought the same as you when Murph put our third away, I really thought that we could pull it back to 4 all. Even their fans must have been twitching when Murph buried that. Heard on the way back home, some Wednesday fan making derogatory comments about us still being a League One club: well yes we are but we've got Cloughy as Manager, Ched on his way back, some fine prospects coming through and at this particular moment in time I'm well chuffed to be a Blade, bring on next season !.

I can't believe that it was only 3 months ago that I posted on Bladesmad that this team, had no character and no player you'd want to call your own. There's 18 of them now. Just watched Scouggs and Baxter on Late Kick Off and my heart swelled. I just want next season to start now.

I can't say I have ever witnessed anything like yesterdays game in my 50 years of supporting United. First off thanks to Nigel Clough for giving us fans our club back, as always the underdogs but for 45mins any neutral would have had a hard time picking which team was from the Premiership. I don't buy the theory of some Hull fans that they were very poor in the first half we played some lovely stuff at times one period of play had 40 passes without a Hull player touching the ball, now if this were Arsenal or Man U the TV pundits would be going over it for weeks. Second half Bruce made changes and we couldn't cope for a while and were punished for it but still managed to get back into the game. Just when you thought it was all over we score again game on again for the last few minutes only to be done on the counter attack. At 5-3 it was over, a slightly harsh scoreline. As the Hull fans celebrated the whole west side of the ground stood up to give our lads a standing ovation which carried on till the final whistle and beyond, I don't think anyone in Wembley has ever seen anything like that before, not the emotional type but that nearly brought a tear to the eyes, Proud of the club, management, players and 99.9% of the fans, once again United.

I fully expected us to go for '1', desperately hoped it wouldn't be '2' and didn't dare to dream it would be '3'! Ultimately the extra skill in the final third in the second half told. We did look like we were going to be overrun for a short time in the second half but battled through it and after murphy goal, I fully expected an equaliser. For me, they way we passed at moved was a joy to watch. The applause after their fifth and the couple of minutes of 'ole' in the first half made it worth the entrance fee.

Why does it take so long for the pride to take over the disappointment.
I am proud, I am proud I am proud .........................

On Football Heaven last night, it was nearly all 'praise for the Blades' (except for a couple of cunt Wendyites who Tweeted in  along the lines of 'Should be ashamed - letting 5 in at Wembley'.) One bloke stood out and made me think. After eulogising about the performance, he said 'We really are a special team.' Now most supporters would say their team is 'special', but are they?

I can't think of any other team who would endure the decades of failure and negativity we've witnessed with such a sense of pride, bonhomie, humour, fatalism etc. and in such numbers.

On Sunday, the Blades family travelled from far and wide once again to celebrate our love of the Blades. Hull can't match it, that's for sure. And not many teams come close, including the manufactured 'support' of Liverpool, Chelsea, Man. U, Man City etc. These supporters, like their teams, have been bought and paid for.

It's often accepted that you end up supporting the team your dad took you to see as a kid. My dad was a Blade and took me along. But I'm absolutely convinced that - had he supported Wendy - I'd eventually have gravitated to the Blades.

We're the English St. Pauli - radicals, free-thinkers, non-conformist and very, very special.:)
