Nathan Redmond (rumoured to training with us)
Danny Ings (rumoured to be training with us)
Ben Mee (training with us)
Japhet Tanganga (rumoured to be in personal terms)

Alongside the Malmo lad, Ben Godfrey, Louie Barry and Soumare….

Would this be a successful transfer window for you?

And can we overturn the start of the season and get up into autos?

That would be an incredible statement from our owners IMO.

Or is it a manager thing?

If Mee, Redmond and Ings are fit and Selles let's them play like they always have then yes I think we'd start winning games.

Tanganga proves they aren't just pocketing the cash they've made from sales, most of the others aren't ours or proven or past it, it's a manager thing and an owner thing.

Assuming Tanganga and Mee sign, and we strengthen further in attacking areas, then fingers crossed with Arblaster and Davies being able to make contributions come late this year, then we have a squad that should in theory, be capable of challenging for the play offs IMHO.

To caveat that, we will need to play a system that gets the best out of those players and not wait too long before that happens, either under Selles or AN Other.

The new players might understand the style of play. Lead by example.
Like many clubs a popular manager leaves and there is a transition to the new way. I have found this in my employment life. We want to revert to the old way.
Life moves on and you either move with it or ultimately get left behind. Football is developing all the time. It’s just the journey to get there can be painful

You're in la la land.
This season is about trying to stay up and nothing about this transfer window equates to success or an incredible statement from the owners.
Unless the incredible bit relates to what an utter mess they've made.

lol

If we bring Redmond in on anything longer than a 1-year contract people need sacking.

If some of these signings were earlier in the window then its a decentish window.

No. Where's the Ndiaye, McAtee, Gibbs-White, David Brooks, McGoldrick? I want some entertainment, an exciting player.
To be fair we have that in Hamer and O'Hare. It's the Coutts, Norwood, Souza, Doyle central midfielder we'll miss the most.

Those aforementioned controller games for us in a way we've looked a million miles away from doing this season ....

Yes fair comment. Forgot Hamer as he's been a bit MIA in Selles set up in the games I've seen other than the goal of the season! Doesn't include Millwall, as had more enjoyable things to do, so our seats were empty.

I think this is why Redmond & Ings will be good transfers. Both worked with him at Southampton so he’ll he wanting them to be ‘culture carriers’ for the rest of the group.

Is Selles approving these signings in the committee? If so then he must see they fit his system, and should be trusted by CoH, if not, then they'll be substitutes until the Manager changes.

Whilst I don't think it's a bad window, as such. What seems really clear is that none of the first team signings fits the profile that the new owners were said to be targeting. Surely the likes of Redmond, Mings, Mee and Godfrey aren't data driven signings. Even two of the younger signings in Barry and Bindon have previously played under Selles. So is the AI data recruitment just not working, or simply not as central to our strategy as we've been led to believe?

No.

Only Tanganga arguably improves his respective position in our side, compared to last season's squad. We are weaker all across the pitch.
