I would hope Tanganga shores up our defence. However, after yesterday it looks like our problems run deeper than that?

Players underperforming. Lack of leaders on the pitch. Lack of cohesion. Lack of structure. Lack of confidence. They just don’t look anything like last season at all. I might be over egging it a bit, but somats not right.

From a top of the table team to rock bottom in 5 minutes. Atm it’s hard to see where our first result is coming from?

It's ridiculous isn't it? 3 bloody games. As a club, we're having to completely undo the limiting 'structures' that are still in place. It's going to take time. Is Sellés the right man to do that? I don't know, but constantly flexing back to the comfort blanket of Wilder/Hecky etc is not going to move this club forwards. I don't know why anyone was expecting much different yesterday, 1 new lad in who'd been around the squad less than 48 hours. We're just going to have to see where we are come the end of the window and even then it might take a few weeks before things settle. And if it's still not working then, well perhaps a serious consideration needs to be made, but now?? Nah

Let’s talk after Boro and Ipswich. But unfortunately employing Sellés is about as constructive as putting me in charge of Man Citteh and I know knowt about football having only following the Blades so I might be totally wrong.

Everyone is saying "he doesn't have a clue" but no one knows what he is actually capable of, and basing his whole managerial quality and leadership on the 4 results.

On another day we win yesterday 2-1.

I can't blame selles for Cannon or Ohare being unable to control a ball yesterday.

I can't blame selles for another shoddy transfer window leaving us short for 3 games.

I can't blame selles for the fact we took an age to decide we didn't want wilder, by which time we had missed out on some of the free transfers we could have acquired.

So for me they really have to look at what Selles is doing on a daily basis and explain how he’s going to make it work, and if they don’t know what they’re looking at or understand Selles word salad (which recent decision suggests is the case) then for Christ sake get somebody in who does…and quick.

Because all I am seeing at the minute is a split owners group, undecided on what’s best, who made a knee jerk decision to sack then appoint a manager because he was available for nowt.

Fair points, but if you're asking if 8 months is enough, I'd say no. Wilder was also only dismissed c5 months into their tenure, who was, if rumours are to be believed, one of the main blockers to the changes in structure. As for AI, people still say this as though the board have said this would be the only method of recruitment, which they never did, just that there would be more effective use of data. To some extent, we have to now give Sellés a decent crack of the whip once he has the players in that allows us to change the way we play.

Even if it was Real Madrid, that swooped in and took him last minute, the atmosphere from our fans would go from terrible to horrendous. The existing grief we are aiming towards the owners and Sellés would multiply tenfold, even if it wasn't their fault they'd still not be forgiven.

But for their keeper making three v good saves and hitting the inside of the post when it could easily have gone in we could have won that match. That however would not have hidden the fact that the manager picked the wrong team ( cannon ) with one midfield player ( Peck ) capable of putting a tackle in leaving our midfield to be like Moses and the Red Sea.
I was prepared to give him time as he has been dealt a difficult hand with insufficient experienced players available to improve his team and whilst this is to date still the case his awareness, tactics and inability to change things to suit is a big worry

We've got a lot of very good attacking players who were all stifled last season by a manager that only wanted to attack for 15 minutes per game. The tactics seemed to click for 45 minutes against Bristol City, where we could've won 5-4 but we're still finding our feet in this new system.

I'm not overly worried as it stands, we couldve lost these 3 games at any point in the season we just happen to have lost them in a row!

Seemingly after the manager himself said it wasnt good enough and then there has been a change in the process instigated after those concerns were aired in public. That and the small matter of us being bottom of the table and out of the cup and an abysmal start. Funny that. Maybe those bedwetters had a valid point after all ?

I've calmed down a bit since yesterday but it's clear for all too see, that the system is too open. Few points i'd note (I'm no coach)
1. Peck is not capable (yet) of playing holding midfield alone when his two midfield partners (COH and Gus) are playing a free role.
2. Cannon is not, and never will be a winger (See CW with Brewster last season).
3. One is not a winger (unless against, Chesterfield, Burton or York).
4. Godfrey was better at CB than RB. I'd play Japhet at RB and Godfrey with either bindon/Robbo.
5. Play 2 holding midfielders, Soumare has done nothing wrong and was dropped.
6. the two "attacking" midfielders are no where near close enough to a CF. Likewise, when Peck drops in, there's nobody to link the play up, through, since he's sat in-between the CB's.

Wilder played players out of position. His tactics were abysmal.

We had about 4 good performances last season with plenty of games we should have lost or drawn. The big difference is the fine margins have flipped the other way.
