Loans returned
Gilchrist,Brereton Diaz,Souttar,Rak Sakyi,Choudhury,Harry Clark and Holding.
Sold
Vini,Kieffer and Anel.
Brewster left the club and Grbic out on loan…anyone I’ve missed?
The only incomings this season that maybe first team ready Barry,Bindon and Soumare? Not sure about Ukaki?
Anyone got an educated guess what we’ve knocked off the wage bill?
At the moment we’ve replaced almost a full team of quality championship standard players with a handful of maybes.
To be honest I didn’t realise the scale of it until I’ve written it down.

There's some hefty wages gone there.

One hell of alot. But on their spreadsheet over in the US of A they will he thinking we could have lost in the play-offs for alot cheaper.

Don't forget savings on grass seed for the pigeons, though I noticed one had appeared on Saturday.
Possibly AI had identified it as having potential.

We've lost a lot players and clearly need more replacements, but for context our revenue is down £10m from last year just from the change in parachute payments alone.

It probably needs to be as well but I was hoping the big slash would likely be at the end of this current season while we still receive the £40m para payment and that we still make a fist of trying to get up. Not coming across that way though

Does anyone know how much we got in kit sponsorship this year compared to last?

considering they get a full season (was it mid october last year?!) revenue should be up from this?

Not that it will be massive but we have had Hackford and Freckleton leave permanently from academy as well as Blacker and now Buyabu out on loan.

Be amazed if they got any money for those 4 players you named whether it be loan or sale

No but I know that the sponsorship paid £750,000 for the season we went up under Hecky, imagine that is a rough figure for us at the moment

We did get fees for Hackford and Freckleton which were either transfer fees or compensation as they were homegrown players. They won't have been significant fees and I highly doubt either went for anything over £500k.

Plus many in the backroom.......talk about cost cutting !! and Poundland Prince .....:( ?. All done bi AI now...lol.

Sheffield United’s summer staff turnover has continued after Danny Cadamarteri, the former Blades striker, confirmed he has left his role with the club’s academy. The 45-year-old had held a role at Shirecliffe for the last five years, specialising in individual programmes for the last three.
But he confirmed his departure on social media earlier today, amid a backdrop of widespread departures amongst the Blades backroom team. Masseur Paul Evans, the former Brentford, Bradford City and Nottingham Forest midfielder, left the Blades on the eve of the new season.

oops.....missed this bit.....;)
Hayden Whiting, one of the Blades’ analysts, departed recently to take up a position with a Premier League side while at least one other member of the United backroom team is understood to be considering handing in their notice.

These are the probable replacements at the moment:

Choudhury/Gilchrist/Clark to Curtis
Souttar/Holding to Sasnaukas
Anel to Bindon
Souza to Soumare
Rak-Sakyi to Ukaki
Brereton to Barry
Moore to One
Brewster to Marsh

Worrying times.

When you analyse this logically it’s very worrying

Slightly lower than definite fees but an average-:
Loans-4 players £20k per week over 6 months =£2.08 million
3 players at estimated £10k per week =£1.56 million
Brewster-£36k per week =£1.87 million
Total-£5.51 million
Out-:
Gribic-£10k per week =£520k
Vini-£25k per week =£1.3 million
Anel-£25k per week =£1.3 million
Moore-£30k per week = £1.56 million
=£4.6 million total In wages.
Sales-:
Vini-£13 million
Anel-£7 million
Moore-£2 million
Total-£22 million
+ smaller fees for lesser paid players.

In other words, the sale of a reasonable premiership player to stay competitive (but at present,we are not)

Based on current, expected income/expenditure, United coukd well be in the black this season unless there is a significant increase in spend on something outside of 'normal' operations
