Might as well play Gus in defence if he can score from half way line! What a goal. Goal of the season already.

How have we reached a situation where Jack fucking Robinson is trying to force a move, and we're desperately trying to keep him! Unbelievable Jeff!

Dont know why your talking to Jeff. We've probably flogged him as well and he's on his way to Dunfermline.

Something not right behind the scenes. Seemed to have a death wish tonight.
Watching him last night, it struck me that Robbo was deliberately trying to get himself sent off. He's never been one to hide his emotions on the pitch but I understand he told one of the linesmen to fuck off a couple of times and called him a bastard?

The incident in the second half where he refused to move the ball before he took the throw-in was just plain embarrassing. No wonder he was hooked a couple of minutes later. It's just very disappointing to see the captain of Sheffield United acting like that.

But aren't you glad he is fit for Saturday!

Sad really as I think he has overall been a good player for us over the years. Never hides, loves a tackle and long throw and has taken some flack often unfair as well. It seems his time at the lane is over though, but he can't really leave till we get in some replacements.

He did his best last night to get a red, he’ll make sure he gets one Saturday, not ideal but I would play McCallum at LCB and loan Robinson out to a L2 side
You might be half joking but based on last night I'm not sure you can trust Robinson to play Saturday. It's going to be tough enough as it is without potentially playing part of the game with 10 men.

No surprise to many last night. Never warmed to him at all and find a lot of his antics an embarrassment. He's a decent mid to lower table championship defender, nothing more. He shouldn't have been with us for so long, and him being a mainstay of two of the worst premier league teams of all time is proof of that. As a last ditch defender he stands out. But good teams shouldn't be doing as much last ditch defending.

His antics last night were a complete embarrassment, even more so when you remember he's supposed to be the captain and has a very young team around him. What kind of example does that set?! I'd sell him now without a replacement as he doesn't want to be here and we should certainly not be pandering to him. Get him sold before Wrexham realise how daft they are being offering a fee for him.

No excuse for his behaviour but their player kicked the ball away just as JLT was going to pick it up and throw it.
I think he was telling the ref and the lino that it's a bookable offence to do that. It fell on deaf ears and fortunately for him so did the tirade that followed.
I'm afraid we're so awful at the back that JLT would be the first name on the team sheet on Saturday as he's one of the few who plays with his heart on his sleeve.

My interpretation of him last night is that he was so angry at the way we were playing, the stupid early goal and our general slow reaction and slow speed, lets face it we were being played off the park, that he basically lost it. We used to be big supporters of players showing passion, but maybe not in the new era.

He wouldn’t get a game at any other professional club. Maltby Main FC are struggling this week, both centre halves are on holiday.

It was obvious that he was trying to get a red, he screamed in the linesman’s face telling him to fuck off at least 3 times? He booted the spare ball away in the second half, probably thinking that was a definite second yellow.
I agree, he wants away, I get the impression he won’t like the new set up and style of play and has had his head turned by a club more local to home.
The only possible reason I can see, that the referee failed to show him a second yellow, is that he or someone close to him, must be a Wrexham fan?

He's been a decent player for us in the last few years, but unfortunately prone to a daft mistake which are becoming more frequent as games go by. Robbo has now become the last of the CW hard men, get stuck in type that is now past it's best, maybe he's been told he can't go to the Hollywood club till a replacement is found and he's not liking it therefore he doesn't give a s..t about getting booked or sent off, but that mouthing at the official was embarrassing to witness, not only for him but the club and it's owners, exactly what was embarrassing with CW and contributed imo, to his sacking, move him on ASAP, thanks for what he's done, but time to go

Robbo must be sold when we get a couple of good centre-backs in.his attitude towards the linesman deserved a red card.If he swore a the female linesperson like that, he would have got a red card.I will be glad to see the back of him.

‘Passion’ cost us £500k in fines last season. There’s a line that some of players are too stupid to see.

Completely agree. Too many times we tried to drag other teams into melees rather than letting our football do the talking. Passion and thuggery became synonymous. Leaders on and off the pitch lacked any modicum of grace, with JLT the epitome. I don't want us to be a soft touch, but I find the Billy Big Bollocks shtick really tedious.

There shouldn't be a gender distinction though. It just shouldn't happen fullstop. The fact that it happened on live tv and everyone heard it makes it even worse and reflects on the club too.

Can't see him starting at a new club under a ban.
More likely he will play like a wimp and not put it in.
Pretty much the same as most weeks with him then?

See it kids football all the time. Gobby kids up for a scrap and telling all and sundry to fuck off. Minute they start losing and/or they're up against a much better opponent, suddenly their bollocks shrink and they go missing ..

I am really hoping that he plays well for us today, we win at Swansea, he drives home to his place in Merseyside and then he signs for Wrexham early next week. His time at United should be coming to an end. I don't mind the lad but we should aspire for better as a club.

Hes never been the most popular amongst the fans as he doesn't seem to use his head at times (comes across as a bit dense at time but he is generally whole hearted). A parting of the ways is not before time.

We should however only allow this once we see people coming into the club. Hopefully early next week too.

Feel bad for Sasnaukas. Every defender turns to crap next to Robinson. Robbo is like a black hole sucking all the abilities out of his defensive partner.
Maybe sasnaukas is just not very good. Looked like he'd never played football before every time he go the ball it looked alien to him. Can't blame robba for everybody else's shit.

Agreed, he doesnt seem good on the ball what so ever. Watched him all pre season too, and he just under hits his passes all the time. He's a bombscare at back, I know hes 18 but he passes the ball like an 8 year old.

His ball work is like a Sunday league player. The higher up you go the more zip and pace they put on passes and basic stuff done with extra zing, and quicker, something he hasn't done or adjusted to yet.

Plenty of time for improvement but not in championship games, and im afraid if hes not doing any of that now at 18 as a pro then its worrying for him. He's in desperate of a loan to league 2 < with regular football.

He’s a kid. A kid that captains the age group above his. Clearly talented otherwise he wouldn’t be at the youth academy.
