He is the only player we have that has the premier league ability and would sparkle in a team full of quality players,he should take the opportunity with both hands if it comes,i would'nt begrudge him leaving..after all he has eyes he is seeing other players (and manager) leave who were a big part of him flourishing last season.

Hamer and Cooper.

Hamer i dont think he has got over the playoff final loss yet his play looks kettled.

Cooper has gone all dopey for some reason.

I didn’t comment upon , let alone contradict nor critique your point surrounding “selling” clubs.

The concept of “extracting maximum value and having a replacement” is sound, albeit such thinking is neither as exclusive nor sophisticated as you seem to suggest.

I (merely) highlighted that (even) in your “real world” there are some (including the odd (?!?) “stalker” (wtf?!) or two) who find talk of”disaster”
predicated upon a rumour which is then projected into (additional) calamity by / through even more spurious hypothetical events to be tedious & tiresome.
How “real” is a world where (inevitable) gossip surrounding a possible transfer so smoothly morphs into anxiety & alarm surrounding “losing him right at the end of the window with no replacement…” without a scintilla of evidence that such will happen?
Without a scintilla of evidence it will happen? Nobody has evidence until it does biut rumours of Anel and Souzas depeartures were proved correct. And this is a local journalist we r talking about not someone on here. So tjhe evidence is we've done it twice already.

Genuine question, did you watch the match yesterday? Did you see the effect of losing vital players with no replacements in place? And you wonder why some of us may be worried thst it might happen again ffs. The evidence so far is that the board are happy to take bids for players without having anyone in place to fill their position

We've lost Moore and not replaced him so if Campbell goes it will be a disaster, you think not so good on you.

You can only go on past evidence and so far this board has watched our centre backs deplete through sale and injury and sold our only serviceable CDM so they are capable of doing it again...based on past evidence.

Again (again, again)

“losing him right at the end of the window with no replacement…”

The sales of Anel nor Souza do not fit into your “disaster” (last minute) scenario.
I went to the game yesterday - we were awful - no midfield ‘bite’ (& overrun/ bypassed) ; fullbacks that can’t (didn’t) defend exposing centre back pairing that was not up to the job.

It was always ( highly) likely that Anel & Souza were departing - both for ‘good money’ (in the circumstances) what you described as “extracting maximum value”.
A ‘replacement’ for Souza has been ‘sourced’ & was (broadly) available yesterday. The Anel sale was hurried with no (squad?)replacement in place - with (somewhat) disastrous consequences yesterday, albeit I’m not convinced his presence would have changed the (overall) result - there’s an entire thread debating the (financial) ‘benefits’ of selling when we did, versus the (football) needs of keeping him (& subsequently losing him for less (no?) money) a la Ndiaye & Berge.
“Lost Moore and not replaced him”? - Barry & One are (more than) adequate ‘stand ins’ (I’m loathe to reference Cannon for fear of a(nother) meltdown) for Campbell, especially in the Selles style (which proved extremely lacking yesterday.
Equally it could be argued that in terms of last years (regular) team Anel was replaced by Bindon. (Again, for the same reason as Cannon I’m not going to reference Robinson!)

We clearly need (significant) strengthening:- RB, CH (x2); Midfield (if Soumaré is not deemed ‘ready’ &/or Arblaster is absent for significantly longer) albeit we (then) have to be mindful of size of squad especially given anticipated (likely) loan signings (another ‘debate’ surrounding availability until late in the window.

In summary the club appear to have gambled on ‘muddling through’ &/or been unable to (yet?) secure the personnel they want / need - the transfer window is not yet closed- hence my original post surrounding your initial “if/ disaster “ scenario

Members of my family were in the stands yesterday. They have told me there were two gentlemen , a couple of rows in front, making notes, and appearing to record, or send voice mails. Campbell's name was mentioned several times.

I mean this with the greatest respect but are you on crack?

You seriously want to replace our best forward with someone who had a few good months in the division below us?
Sometimes the mentally of our fans, makes me wonder why I turn up for games🫤

I wouldn't be surprised if clubs in a better position than us are looking at Ty.

However, as our number 1 striker with what's left on his contract, I'd expect it to take a very large offer at this stage to consider selling.

Scouts loudly mentioning the player's name?!

I have it on good authority the two “gentlemen” were Derek Dougan & Keith Macklin preparing for ‘Goals On Sunday’
