"United are struggling to land targets despite their cash boost from sales.

The new owners seem split on whether to invest in young prospects or loan in experienced players".

Worrying if accurate
In other words… they are utterly clueless about Championship football but decided they knew enough to launch a completely new strategy anyway.

Not sure Robinson will thrive with the type of game plan and approach we showed today. Too slow and will be caught out

He’s not great but miles ahead of RND and Bindon for me. he’s our only defender with any experience.

He goes you need 3 CBs

And they can’t all be young prospects we need a leader in there to pull things together. I’m not convinced this ‘transfer brains trust’ can pull it off tbh.

Say what you want about wilders approach but he knew you needs a blend to be successful. Does Selles have that understanding, can he voice his opinions on recruitment?

It will cost him his job sooner rather than later if he doesn’t sort this out

One thing is abundantly clear.

Our American owners are more than a bit green when it comes to this soccerball malarkey !!

The hope is that Monica can get HIS side to gel (and pretty quickly) once all the comings and goings are finalised till January.

He’ll need some financial backing to do this and the next 3 weeks will determine our entire campaign.

I think we need a RB, assuming JLT goes 3 CBs, and another out and out striker.

So that’s 6 to get through the door as things stand. One out one in after that.

Ryan One is desperate for a L1 loan imo so could maybe do with another striker.

Much to do …….!

I shat myself when he played against Wolves in the fa cup a few years ago.

I've been sh1tting myself ever since.

He's a right back drafted into CB.

Get rid. Lots of passun but very little ability. One for Wrexham

We should try hard to make them take RND as well. No extra fee. Lower fee, if anything. It would be another get out of jail bonus courtesy of Wrexham. RND is basically the player Robinson's devoted critics pretend he is

JLT owes us precisely nothing

Given what he can for years and part of some amazing stuff but our fans have pilloried him for too long

We have a history of not succession planning and offering too long contracts, yes under Wilder.

I hope he gets a move to somewhere he's appreciated and gets away from the pathetic vitriol that our 'fans' have dished out.

You reap what you sow. If he leaves us a bigger recruiting problem, then the poisonous keyboard warriors will be, in part, responsible.

No problem with him going if we get a fee hes only got 1 year left on his contract. There comes a point however where you have to question the mentality of the owners recruitment team and manager if they think we can get in 3 quality experienced CB's and integrate them into the team at such short notice.

Im not JLT's biggest fan but even I realise its another experienced player thats going. If today showed anything it was that there were a lack of leaders which the younger players desperately needed out there on the pitch.
First big mistake giving Hoyland another contract instead of getting an experienced Director of Football in as soon as last season finished. Second big mistake persevering with the Prince's "lap dog" Bettis as CEO and then promoting him to the board. What serious Football experience does he have, he's an accountant, God help us if he is advising COH. In fact who is advising them on footballing matters? The club is crying out for an experienced CEO who has worked at the higher level in football, is proactive and embraces the way football is developing. Let's not forget virtually every major club in the UK and Europe has a Director of Football or Sporting Director, yet Bettis publicly stated last year that Sheffield United would not be having a Director of Football. So are all those clubs doing it wrong and Bettis is right? I don't think so. He's a leftover from the McCabe era who was kept on by Princy during which time becoming an established Premier League club never materialised on his watch and I doubt we ever will with him pulling the strings on this side of the Atlantic.

I doubt many people will want him to be offered a new contract, so on that basis it makes sense to get a fee for him… but we are so short of experience and leaders it’d just be foolish until replacements have been brought in.

Selles openly said he’ll remain as club captain (and he was given the armband when he came on today) so it’d be a bit strange if he was on his way prior to Anel leaving.

I'd be personally gutted if he leaves In our current plight , do we have the ambition to sign 2 or 3 center backs that are better than him ? He would be a great signing for us as is ....
My dead nan is a better defender. Let’s not act like he’s Canavaro from one shit performance. Bloke is utter toilet. It just so happens that he’s our best defender as things stand 😬

All for getting rid.

Just need 2/3 replacements there who are better
I agree but we've known that for 3 or 4 weeks and we are still considering options . If the transfers happen as fast as the Soumare deal rather than the Anel deal we should have two or 3 adequate replacements two weeks after the transfer window closes 😂
