Burrows struggles against anyone half decent. It was the same last season. Him and Seriki are wingbacks, they need actual defenders to to their defensive work for them. When they're relying on RND, Robinson or the unproven Binden, it's obvious they/we are gonna have a bad time.

Yes we need signings but until then you have to work with what you have got and tweak your tactics to suit the team you put out.

Personally I am shocked he thought a 20 year old making his Championship debut and a injury prone left back was fine as his CB pairing, big mistake and personally think because it was so weak we should have gone with 3 CBs and stuck Dovy in there (played pre season) or even Robbo for 60 mins if he couldn’t last the 90.

RND put in a performance vs Cardiff in the cup that was career ending, not sure how he’s managed to start. Surely you just tell Robinson to play as long as he can and then bring RND if you have to, personally I’d have played Soumare at the back if Robbo needed to come off because RND is finished and we’ve known this for a while.

Also quite worried about Bindon, looked composed in possession but so slow and cannot turn, been put in a system that highlights those vulnerabilities massively as well.

Last season started with a minus 2 points total, this season has started with a minus 3 goal difference, although last season I was confident that we'd get those points back, this season, from what ive seen today, I'm not hopeful we'll get the G/D back above water very soon

It felt like when Hecky started Bash and Norwood in midfield against Palace. A statement from the manager that needed players

RND the obvious scapegoat, but I feel for him....should be nowhere near the team, and the whole back four looked like they'd been on the ales all afternoon.

I will say though anyone who cheered RND off needs to habe a word with themselves. Absolutely disgraceful!

I just want to say. Let's judge the transfer window at the end..... feck me sideways.

Perhaps those of us who were saying this was not acceptable might have had a point.
We can't wait while the end of the window, it's got to happen now, 3 or 4 more bad results and the rot sets in for the season!

Fullbacks just as much as the centre backs to blame for this. Burrows is starting to worry me.
Yes, but it depends what instructions he's playing to. I doubt whether his role today was supposed to be traditional attacking full back.

But in any case, any plan that's relying on the defensive qualities of Hamer and O'Hare is one drawn up by a footballing Baldrick.

Agree I said at half time Dovy would have been better coming on for RND who was blowing out of his arse after 20 minutes. Should have matched them up with 3 at the back second half with JLT coming on. It is concerning we didnt adapt our tactics to nullify their threat on the break. Both their second half goals came from our absence of CBs in the middle.

i think your spot on with seriki and burrows they are both wingbacks it was a total bombscare of a back 4 add to that that peck is no souza and hamer didnt look interested early days and no need to panic but money has to be spent and very quickly or this season could turn in to a nightmare mind think bristol city will suprise a few this season well organised and loads of pace through the middle and out wide

Watched their goals again, for 2 of them we had 3 or 4 defenders in the box and they had just 1 yet he was completely unmarked.

Got to say Bindon was as bad as RND if not worse as he was too far from the man on both goals

Yep. The defending for their goals was ridiculously bad for the reasons you mention. No one bothered to pick up their players stood in acres of space. It was criminally bad. Sunday league stuff.

The really worrying thing was that they scored 4 and should have had 4 more. We didn't bother to learn our lesson re picking up and remained wide open all match. I can't remember watching such a shit show at the back.

Got to be said. First impression, Bindon needs Binning... or at least the blue bin for the time being.
I thought he was dog turd to be honest. Almost disrespectful of the number 6 he wears for United. He can't tackle either just to add what others have said that I agree with. He can get his head on a ball, not necessarily at any kind of target mind, that's about as much as I got from him today.

However, how many times have we seen this in the past with players severely underperforming, then becoming on to become a club treasure.

So, I hope this gives him the ammunition to crack on and sort himself out. As well and RND and Burrows.

I honestly think if we’d have tried to sit in today it would have been the same result. We just don’t have competent players at the back, doesn’t matter if there are 2 of them or 3 them. If they’re not good enough it’s the same end result.

SS clapped him off and tbf he clapped the fans when walked past. Bizarre booing him.
