Without wishing to sound too bedwetterish and it is mentioned on another thread somewhere but it does seem a bit of a blind spot as a club that we haven’t signed a proper old school permanent centre back since Egan in what 2018??!! Just the seven years.
Had high hopes for the 1000 cap Uremovic but he disappeared quickly.

If Robbo is still out injured, it is now a must that we have a permanent CB through the door before Swansea. We can't start the season with with Dovy or RND next to Bindon because it won't go well.

Any sensible money would bet we do not get hammered. Sometimes clubs have to play a teenager in defence - it very rarely means they get hammered.

If the reason for specifying domestic was to avoid visa issues, there's an English lad called Jerome Opoku playing CB in the Turkish super league. 26yo, 6'6, looks hard as nails. Started off in the Fulham academy and then went to Turkey via Portugal. I've got no idea if he's any good but transfer market rates him at €5m euros which is probably around our market. Who needs AI when you've got Google?

I just have no idea about overseas players, broadly speaking.

I’m absolutely happy to judge the transfer window when it shuts in early September (and by extension the ambition of the ownership) but for a second year parachute team relying on Jack Robinson being fit to start the season for a fifth season in a row really is pathetic.
