Thanks, I didnāt know thatplays for Hearts.
Its a suggestion...Ai may have overlooked..as he is Austrian.....seeing as we seem to be looking for a CB (with the Holding rumours). Are we just listing players now or is there something, anything to this 'suggestion' that indicates we're looking in his direction?
Think ādid very wellā is a tad melodramatic. 45 minutes in a pre-season testimonial/ friendly albeit a fairly competitive game. Its a suggestion...Ai may have overlooked..as he is Austrian.....seeing as we seem to be looking for a CB (with the Holding rumours).
He did very well against the mighty Black Cats on Sat.....Hearts 3-0 winners.
The League Cup might be daft for the big clubs, but far from it for the smaller ones. Progressing through the group stage and getting an away draw at an Old Firm club can be season and budget changing. Iām very happy that Partick broke their Dingwall hoodoo yesterday and finished top of their group. Given the boredom of playing the same handful of clubs 4 times a season itās refreshing to get to play clubs you wouldnāt otherwise face. And itās been far better preparation for the league season than the Blades have just had. It might be irritating to the big clubs but fuck them, they donāt represent the whole of Scottish football.Think ādid very wellā is a tad melodramatic. 45 minutes in a pre-season testimonial/ friendly albeit a fairly competitive game.
He had little to do against a lacklustre Sunālun who posed little threat in being gubbed 3 to none.
Steinwender is a composed footballer but not a dominant/ physical centre half - heād likely be more of a āreplacementā (?!?) for Anel than a Souttar like figure.
If we were to be interested he may be āgettableā Hearts paid around Ā£3/400k for him in January. Since then a change of manager + signing of 2 (ātraditionalā Scottish) C/H (McCart latterly @ Rovrum & Dingles; Findlay of Oxford)which appear to be more in keeping with the new HMFC āstyleā& perhaps an indication of Steinwenderās current ālevelā ?!?!
Whilst not an automatic selection (13 appearances) he has featured in 3 of 4 (daft) League Cup games as McInnes (manager) rotates (too) large squad & systems.
Certainly not āindispensableā & HOMFC are now working on a āmodelā of signing potential- selling for profit -,recently made Ā£2n flogging Penrice (a quality L/B Iād previously mentioned ) to AEK. Steinwender not in that bracket & I havenāt the foggiest notion if heās Championship level but likely a ātacticalā fit with what Iāve seen under Selles - interception / anticipation rather than brawn/ muscle
Relatively speedy but not ārapidā , 6 foot 3, 25 year old.
Last 4 years in Swedish & Austrian (mid- table) ātop flightā
A lot of reading for no real reason / purpose ?!?!?!
Thanks, I didnāt know that
I fish for heartsplays for Hearts.
Basically we are just listing players our fans would struggle to spell correctly. Are we just listing players now or is there something, anything to this 'suggestion' that indicates we're looking in his direction?
