Very true.

Take Wednesday as an example. Their thirst for daily updates almost encourages a “death by a thousand cuts” approach.

They could legitimately turn up and have all four sides of the ground available, all staff and players up to date on their pay and a fully filled squad albeit it quite a few names from prior seasons won’t be there.

Instead you’ve got 2 months of bed wetting in between. Many thought Windass was an opinionated gobshite, but it is announced he didn’t want to stay then they flounce, he says he’s leaving as he’s found a way out of his extension, then they flounce. He actually leaves then they flounce. He signs for Wrexham then they flounce.

They are just glutton for punishment.

We’re probably just as bad in the circumstances.

Some players will come some will go. We won’t have may control over either.

No point in life stressing over things you can’t control.
True

Just enjoy the ride

Can't wait for the interview... Vous aimez le temps à Sheffield, Djibril ?

"Allo Djibril."

"Laughs nervously". Yes Hello.

"Do you like Rain Djibril?"

Puzzled expression.

"Do you? Do you like it? You do don't you?"

"Looks confused"

Hopefully we've moved beyond those cringey interviews now.

Pass Completion stats are off - but he carries the ball better than Vinnie.
A lot depends on the types of passes though. Vinni's passes were pretty much all a few yards to someone to progress the ball. From the wheel, it looks like Djibril is more progressive in possession and in his passing which would impact completion rates.
Room to progression certainly, but moving to a different type of deeper lying midfielder I don't think the wheel is that far off what we should be expecting for our level and budget.

Yeah. I really rated Vinnie, but there's no denying a lot of his (and the teams) passes last year were sideways. It's a slightly misleading stat. in that regard. Progressive Passes are arguably more important, especially in a team built to progress up the pitch quickly, and by that metric, Souza and Soumaré are almost identical.
