It's always been a dream of mine to see a Saudi Arabian club side, but alas I won't be able to go.

Just looks like ShirecliffeWhat a stunning view.
It’s felt like this for years. Like certain people find us a nuisance. Watched United in Malta x3, Holland, Spain, Portugal and Hungary (almost - called off just before kick off). Never felt particularly welcome at any of them by the club. One of the Malta ones had a couple of events that they put on for fans who booked the trip with the club (blades travel - remember that travel agent in the back of the club shopI really get the impression, and I hope that I'm wrong, that the club doesn't really want our fans to attend pre-season matches abroad and make it tricky as possible for us to make it with such short notice.
I can understand that if that's the case if the players/management want some privacy I just think they should be a bit more honest about it and have it played behind closed doors.
The other game, they were hoping for Panethonycos I believe, but they are in European qualification, so it can't happen yet. This says they are yet to announce 2 games. But already have a game on 2nd August

Hopefully if Donny airport gets the full green light and they have some decent destinations, I would like us to have that type of Malta set-up, it could easily be done. Somewhere like Croatia, Spain or Portugal is always a good start, the players going for 2 weeks. Then you could build on that, if you partnered with hotels and had say 3 fixtures Sun, Wed, Fri people could fly Saturday to Saturday. If announced with enough time i.e. not the week before but Christmas, it could easily be done to coincide with the start of school holidays. It’s felt like this for years. But there’s been nothing like that since. And there’s numerous clubs below us in pyramid doing well planned tours of various countries around the world.
It just seems like the people responsible for sorting it don’t attend to it early enough. So it all gets very last minute and fans aren’t given a single thought.
Hopefully under the new owners they see it as a bit of exposure for the club getting us out to different places.
Yeah it really shouldn’t be difficult. Loads of smaller teams do it. Latvia, Finland, Italy, Austria etc. Club have just never pushed it.Hopefully if Donny airport gets the full green light and they have some decent destinations, I would like us to have that type of Malta set-up, it could easily be done. Was thinking the same mattbianco1. Nearly a thousand miles from Sheffield to Grunau via the channel tunnel.A road trip on the channel tunnel looks very appealing
Then downs a can of Pepsi as the giraffe necked Cnut lays there rolling aroundChrist. Imagine the spam our socials will get if Robbo spanks Ronaldo into row Z inside 15 minutes. We'll be begging for the Hamza lot back.

I've done those three in Malta, Portugal twice, Spain twice, Netherlands.
I'm happy to take your word that you felt like a nuisance. But, I certainly didn't. I went to club events on two of those Malta trips, even though I was just an ordinary independent travelling fan. McCabe tried to make sure he bought every fan lunch and a few beers on one of the Spain trips. And for the game v Málaga, when the match ticket situation was confused, club officials were at the gates making sure every Blade got in.
Hey lucky you, I was in the Tyrol for 3 weeks in June. Been going for 20 years, missus has been going for over 30 years. I stay in lovely village called Alpbach in the Alpbachtal Valley about 35k east of Innsbruck off the A12 autobahn.I’m currently on holiday in the Austrian Tyrol and not returning home until 9th August. This could be great for me. Not sure Mrs Nasty would agree.
Typical Blades. If we had any ambition we would be playing at Good Wimsbach but no, let’s settle for second best.It mentions a stadium in Bad Wimsbach (Hofmanninger Stadion)
I watched us in Portugal a couple of years and in Spain where my son was a mascot in a behind closed door friendly (we were playing the team he played for in Gibraltar, Slavs first game) and I thought the club were always exceptional.
You don’t have to look far to see smaller clubs going abroad and giving fans 6/7/8 weeks notice and making it feel like they want fans involved. On the ground they might be good, but its the planning/communication aspect that I find a bit baffling.
Surely they could announce/organize these things with a bit more than 2 weeks notice?!
Am I having a stroke. I can’t read that.Just said to our Gert, guess where we are playing first week in August, it's abroad? See said Zell am See, I said close just a few miles north. Said then said no.![]()
Take to Mayrhofen instead .. it’s grand !Just said to our Gert, guess where we are playing first week in August, it's abroad? See said Zell am See, I said close just a few miles north. Said then said no.![]()
So sorry didn't proof read it. I'd buy you a pint at the game but I'm not allowed to go.Am I having a stroke. I can’t read that.
