Any chance the away kit will be launched in time to be used for the friendlies at Rotherham, Burton or Chesterfield? Would make sense from a promotional point of view.

My gut feeling is we'll play in 3rd kit Saturday and Tuesday as there is no clash, and then away shirt will be launched for Chezzy game as they play in blue.

Can’t remember who called the shirts, but he was right on the 3rd & he said away was white with gold accents. Napoli have just launched their away kit which is white with gold accents, looks class. Hopefully we get something as tasteful…

I like it but our fans wouldn’t go for that home kit - would get the “its not a Sheffield United kit” treatment

Mind you, I would love to see us wearing a version of that Ajax-inspired Hobott kit from 1978, I was 10 when it came out and I remember thinking it looked really modern at the time!

I loved that one too, I had a silk scarf with the stripes on (complete with the space invader badges), it also had a weird half knife half footballer hybrid in a United kit on it!

I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake of it for one season but no doubt the meltdown would be unbareable.

May look good as an away shirt with the colours inverted I.e black and white with red pinstripes
