We said exactly the same when there was a "clickbait" headline saying the board were considering Wilders position and obviously we know how that ended up.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if the article is true. It seems we're definitely going for cheaper foreign talent which I'm fine with as long as they are good enough but if it's just for development like the lads from Bulgaria then we all know we need players now. Only time will tell of course.

Why would this lad have the lowdown on Sheffield United above established journalists?

Could be the biggest double bluff ever.

Love the fact that the club is at tight as a drum now - the Rumour section in here is pretty much only that.

Tyler Bindon came out of nowhere, suspect there will be a few more like this.

Mainly from Bulgaria I suspect but we might move up the Alphabet before the summer is out.
Albania or Algeria or Azerbaijan ??

Ah Sheffield Stir levels of journalism, create a headline that will worry some fans who fall for the click bait only to find nothing in the story of any substance. Anybody can pick a name out and guess what might happen, I could write a story that Cannon is wanted by Liverpool don't mean it will happen though.

I'm liking the lack of rumours coming out of the club quite refreshing that there is not weeks of speculation on incomings that have been leaked to the press, fairly obvious who the culprits were now they have left the club.

Can’t believe how gullible some people are on here……🙈

The same website that says 'WE MUST BUY THIS PLAYER'... and 'SHEFFIELD UNITED NEED TO PLAY THIS PLAYER IF THEY WANT TO WIN GAMES

and it turns out to be Hamer...

Thanks
You should read further down, it’s insightful stuff.

Apparently, water is wet, and you can’t plait fog.

And you wouldn’t believe what the cast of The Munsters look like now…

I think we will make some perm signings and some loans so nothing really diffferent there

My slight concern is I don’t think we got max value for Souza… if Cooper goes for £5 mil alarm bells will be ringing

We made a profit on him. That was when he was 2 year's younger and hadn't been a failure in the Premier League. Ndidi is available for 9 million under a relegation release clause. I think it's a decent fee.

Had he got a relegation release clause ? (Souza?) I think 15-20 was more realistic and we didn’t achieve £15mil so my opinion is cheap

The 'journalist' who doesn't know how parachute payments work.
Parachute payments decline around 20% in year 2 and won't exist in year 3 as we were relegated within 1 year. We have only sold Vini so far, so I don't think we are flush with cash, and any transfer payments need to be planned against our revenue next year as if we don't get promoted.

FFP rules restrict the boards ability to take on too many losses.

I don't believe this kid has any inside info, but its also not an unreasonable assumption that without another major sale of 10m+ we don't have a lot of budget for transfers fees this year.

I agree. I think we'll live within our means. spend small millions. Maybe one bigger purchase if Hamer is going.

In truth, it's hardly like we need to spend huge amounts:

We need half a dozen players really, depending on who leaves. I expect half, at least, will be loans.

We’ve already got that lad from ‘Amilton Academicals.
