It's just a shame Erréa's build quality is so shit because for me they've been much better (or at least more interesting/bespoke) designed kits than most of the tat Adidas shoveled our way.

But the gulf in workmanship between Erréa and Adidas is night and day. I have bought Erréa shirts from the club shop, and from DHGate, and genuinely can't tell any difference.

Spot on!

Planning and design = 9/10
Execution / product = 3/10

Me and my lad are Yokohama F Marinos fans over here. Last year’s home shirt had a nice snazzy trim on the sleeves and collar. I had ChatGPT (sorry!) mock up a Blades away shirt based on it. It messed up the Blades badge as always, and the sponsor a bit, but I think it’s alright as a starting concept.

I like the snazzy collars and sleeve cuffs. But they look a bit shit if they’re not done in the proper rib/cuff material. The shorts are printed/sublimated. I’m not sure it works on shorts either - there’s way too much going on for a pair of shorts. Panels within panels.

Hopefully the shirt collar/cuffs are done properly. Similar to what Norwich/Joma have done. For a shitty brand similar in stature to Errea, Joma have really upped their game in terms of build quality. Mind you the one they’ve just done for Brentford is abysmal - design wise.

It does. But the way it’s been done on our shorts looks dreadful both design wise and manufacturing.

Im obviously not as skilled as others.

Whats the issue with the manufacturing and design?

I quite like it, but interested to know whats wrong with the manufacturing, as i'm thinking of getting some for my son.

Wonky bades.
Peeling badges.
Peeling sponsors.
Wonky sponsors.
Poor stitching.
Crap material.
One material used throughout.

Last season i was in the club shop taking loads of the Black away shirts off the rail to inspect the badge as most, easily over 70% were twisted with the rose pointing towards the shoulder. I did manage to find a straight one eventually.

It was even Wonky on the official promo:

Yesterday the club tweeted an image of O'Hare wearing the training vest. Many pointed out that the "UNITED" on the club badge was missing some letters. United deleted the tweet

They couldn’t recall the email list though. 😁

Why would they refit and refurb the superstore around the time of a new kit launch if there was no new kit to launch?
For many reasons, I can list some:
  • to improve the layout
  • to replace old equipment
  • to get ready for a new kit coming in
  • at the request of the new owners
  • etc…….

but give me one example of when the kit has just been randomly placed in the shop without a daft social media campaign?

I'll be honest, my post was very much tongue in cheek, and you seem to have fully taken it onboard like I was seriously suggesting the kit would just pop in the megastore with no grime music or social media campaign to go with it.....

This.

The training gear is ridiculously priced. £75 for an Errea hoodie that's only available in skinny fucker sizes? I'd rather spend my money on an Adidas one. Cheaper and far, far better quality.
