Ah the old days when West Brom were guaranteed promotion because they signed Swift, and Wallace and we hadn’t done any business and were in trouble. I missed those.
Funny how that season ended up.

The figures shown on sites like these are usually a reflection of basic wages. Having dealt with many players contracts I can tell you that actual earnings are way in excess of the basic weekly wages that are reported. So you are, indeed, reporting erroneous “facts”.

I wonder what happened to Swift. He seemed to just stop playing, even before moving to WBA. Wallace was a decent signing for them but they were a total mess of a club.

Just signed a lad from Peterborough for 3.5m. Would imagine they'd be willing to spend a few bob on Brooks too - Russell Martin had him on loan at Saints when they got promoted 2 years ago.

Transfermarkt website thinks they spent approx £13m last summer and that they have spent about £7.5m already so far this summer. You'd think Bournemouth would be asking £10-20m for Brooks.

Fair point, but minimum £5-10 million. Also potential goodwill considering his health struggles.

Agreed mate, Would love him back, I watched him against man Citeh last season and he took on both their defenders and found himself space to put in a beauty of a cross
