Is that your ambition for United - to be "just like all the other clubs"?

Personally, the height of my ambitions in life has never been to be an also ran.

That's why I've had a better than 'also ran' life, because I've dared to dream, hope and strive for the best.

I believe United can and should be capable of better than an 'also ran' existence as well, but sadly they seem destined to be let down by the many 'supporters' who've reared their ugly heads of late, demonstrating a lack of self-belief in, and aspiration for, United, by wanting them to be "just like all the other clubs".

Such a devout lack of ambition for United, is something I'm neither willing nor able to get on board with. I'll always want us to be the best we can be, not another also ran.

Last season we didn't sign anyone till July. Wasn't it McCallum and Shackleton.
O'Hare then followed.

We had a good summer rebuild. But we're still a bit short when the window shut.

Just looking at our squad right now and whilst currently we have some real quality in the side. We still need signings as the squad is low in depth. And if souza goes who will we bring in?
Expecting interest in other let players too.

I do wonder if Souza going is what is slowing us down. Money in before money out?

Why do we need to rush in the transfer market? It doesnt make sense to do so.

We have a squad that accumulated 90+ points, we don't need a huge overhaul.

The crux of our issue is that whilst we were always aware that failure to go up would lead to 1 or 2 sales, we don't know what those sales are yet and therefore can't react accordingly.

I know its as rare as rocking horse shit round here, but a bit of patience is all that is required.

Magic totally agree and it seems we have got our targets, in particular the Spurs centre back who on the face of it looks a perfect fit. Young, big, can play and has already done a full season in the Championship. I'd love to see us buy him not loan him.

We must have a couple of midfielders on the watch list as it seems like Souza is off to Germany and I suspect we are waiting for the highest bid for Peck. With Blasters return date looking uncertain this is an area that will need strengthening pretty quickly. Can't see us doing much up front with Moore, Campbell, Cannon and One around although the latter may get loaned out if we do bring anyone else in.

No it wouldn't. I think too many remember School Boy Looks in his breakthrough days. Lads been through plenty since then, was an impact player last season. A big criticism of last season was stamina and inability of many players to go no more than 70 minutes.

He might have a good season in him, but likely won't.
