What do you think about the match?

Other matches were easy, but it will be difficult. I hope we win!

Toughest test for us yet I think
Might be a game where the clean sheet record goes
They have scored 52 goals (works out as an average of 1.44 goals per game)
We have scored 37 in 34 games but a lot of our blanks were when Weir was in charge.
If we win it it'll most likely be a 1-0

My prediction is a 1-1

Be a proper test to see how far we have come cause this is a game we'd have said was a loss not so long ago..

I would like a draw, that'd be fine by me...

Had a quick glance at their forums, it seems they aren't that confident at home despite their lofty position in the league and a fair few of them are already getting squeaky bums about the possibility of us sneaking into the play-offs and doing them. Sit back soak it up, let them get on the backs of the team and do them with a late winner, Mr Porter over to you, 1-0 to the Blades.

With Big Aubery it may be difficult but I'm sure one of our powerful shots will fly through the shit.

A very tough fixture, at the Lane I thought we were unlucky to lose to them.

Think it may be easier than Charlton and Carlisle as Preston will attack us more than either of those did and it will suit our new style better.

Key of course is how many we concede as I'm sure we will find the net.

Despite having a better home record, I think were better set up for away games. TV cameras and Preston at home leads me to think they'll want to have a go at us. In some ways they also have something to prove. They'll believe they are the stronger team.

Set pieces they'll be strong (presuming that big Kev plays), but we'll also be strong in this area. Harry, Collins, Paynter and Porter will give them problems.

I expect us to play like we did v forest, sit back, give them possession, but hit them hard in the counter. This will be a big one for Clough to emphasise his 'don't concede' point.

Late goal and a 0-1 smash and grab.

I doubt Baxter will play a part, possibly start with Paynter up top, Davies on the left for Murphy and perhaps freeman or even hill in for the beard

Same line up as for Carlisle as I doubt we'll risk Brayford before the Wolves game and the players will have had a decent break for the first time in weeks.

1-0 United; Murphy goal in the first half then soak up the pressure.

Big test for us. If we win, I'll believe we can take on Wolves and co

If we get an early goal that will make it very interesting as I always fancy us to break and get a second nowadays as teams come at us to get back on level terms.

Still think this will be a really tight game and probably a 1-1

I'm usually a miserable pessimistic bastard, but i've got a good feeling about this one. Just think our current side is perfect for tough away games. Soak up the pressure, then hit em on the break.

0-2
Baxter, Murphy

best mate over here is a massive Preston fan and believe me they are worried.. apart from the Lane result they think we're a bit of a bogey team for them

Agreed they have drawn a load at home as well.

We have to play Brayford and Murphy if you ask me. I don't think we'll catch Peterborough if we lose.

This has a boring 0-0 draw written all over it IMO, hope I'm wrong!

On one hand I think Preston will go all out for a win as they would be within 5 points of an automatic spot (albeit having played 2 games more than top 2)

On the other hand they might take it easy and settle for a point and consolidate their Play-off position, unlikely anyone is going to catch them.

On the other hand we might smash them, blades to win 1-5

3 handed B56

Foxy and I will be there... Dunno what time it'll be as I can't leave work early but doubt there will be much time for drinkies pre-match.

Tough one tonite, boring I know but 0-0 would be a good result and 0-1 would be a great result if Harry don't pick a yellow in the process.

Tough match, I'm worried.
