Outgoing? Michael Cooper

in a world where we sold ramsdale for 30m anything is possible ⚔️😅
Haha fair - we did have Arsenal's pants down with that one.
Perhaps a better comparison will be how much Trafford goes to Newcastle for. Cooper's value is likely to be 60-70% of that, very much limited by Utd being a Champ club and him having no Prem (or equivalent top flight) experience.
It would be a big call for a side to plump for him as their first choice - possibly why potential suitors appear to be looking elsewhere.

True they could go and pay 70m for a foreign keeper like Kepa or 40m for one like Onura 🤑

To be honest I've no idea what hes worth as you say Trafford will set a bar but the fact is hes worth what we want for him as we don't have to sell.

Out of all our players that others could be interesting in signing, Cooper, Hamer, Souza, Anel, Cooper is the one that I am sure we 100% won't sell this summer and I don't see him asking to leave if another club comes knocking.

As much as I like Cooper, if we get a decent offer we can get promoted with a half decent goalkeeper if the rest of the team is playing well and we don’t have clowns in defence. We got promoted with Wes last time, he wasn’t anything special, just solid.

His kicking means only limited interest in him imo. It's not particularly good and in the play off final it was woeful
I dont think ts that bad
His short and long passing is great it's his middle distance kicking is a bit hit and miss
Wouldn't expect we spent a lot of time working with him on this but it will be an integral part of the new set up

That may be true, but the idea is to establish ourselves in the premier league and to do that a top class keeper is one of the most important positions, just ask Brian Clough
I will give the young man a ring.

Yeah I always thought he was alright with his feet to be fair.

I think Cooper is very good championship keeper. I’d have like to have seen him tested in the Prem. I’m not sure he’s as irreplaceable as people make out though, I think we’d just had a bad time with Wes / Grbic that he was a big step up from those two

Same here ,love the guy but seriously cant see a prem team wanting him as a number one and hes too expensive to be a two which he doesnt want anyway

Patterson at Sunderland played out of his skin at Wembley and has been rewarded by being replaced
Prem keepers are elite Cooper is not quite at that level although he could be

I'd rather hang on to Cooper. Keepers like him him turn draws into wins and losses into draws.

I'd rather not have another merry go round of bang average to utter shit keepers.

I’d like to keep him, but if we get good money and he wants to better himself then it’s not worth the hassle when we can get a half decent replacement and probably still be ok.

Lets just keep all our good players please. As fans the best option is always 'KEEP'. Sheffield United rarely replace with upgrades generally it's cheaper downgrades, we are the only team ever to go to the Prem and sell our 2 best players. Michael Cooper is a gem - why o why would we sell.

Just cast your mind back before Cooper it was a disaster in Goalkeeping terms and trying to get a keeper half decent proved very problematic.
You build your defence around a top class keeper and once we have that top class keeper you’re able to push for promotion. .
Here’s the stunningly great news

We already have the top class keeper Michael Cooper and you move heaven and earth to keep him.

Cooper did sneakily start making a few errors later in the season - all part of his plan to ward off any suitors and never leave us. Ever.

If we did sell it's £30m at the absolute minimum. He's a proper keeper and thy're not as easy to find as they were 20 years ago.
Until his kicking improves from shyte he’s 10 mill at best

Everyone has a price, unless you're Real Madrid or PSG. For me though, I would prefer any other of our players to be sold, rather than Cooper.

If last season's 92 points were made up of comfortable wins, brushing teams aside, then fine, an average/good keeper might do us for this season. They weren't and the many unconvincing single goal margin wins were directly influenced by his quality and calm presence, which reassured an otherwise average/good back four.

Yes and we did that when we had "One of th best owners we've had" according to some
