Could the Blades and the Owls ever merge?

Do you think this could ever happen?

I had a little think about this before and it crossed my mind that Sheffield being a two club city could be what holds both clubs back from challenging traditionally bigger clubs like Man Utd, PNE, Leeds Utd and Liverpool in terms of prestige and gloriousness.

If you merged the clubs into one then sold Bramall Lane and Hillsborough and used the cash to build a purpose built 70,000+ mega stadium you would probably be loads more sucessfull and maybe one day be english champions like PNE have been.

My suggestion for the new clubs name would be 'The Steel City Stripers' and you could play in red & blue stripes and red & blue halved shorts and red & blue hooped socks.

Could this ever happen of is it just a pipedream?
ART THOU A SHITWASP????

Never ever ever no.... I would not support the idea ever or support the team never ever.... NO!!! Did I say NO never ever!!

No.

Try suggesting that to the Bristol Clubs, any two clubs in Birmingham, the Manchester two....just as idiotic as your suggestion to the Sheffield clubs.

A 70k seater stadium you say? It's a pity there would be nobody in it.

That is the shittest idea I've ever heard.Thankfully it's never going to happen.

Nice one big aubrey. I see care in the community allows people to use computers.

you only have to look 30 miles up the M1 to see what the reality of your pipe dream might look like

This guy, This guy right here. This is the guy!

Never!

The day it happens, is the day I never watch another professional football match in Sheffield.

It would be the day football died for me. I fuckin hate Wendy, and anything to do with her would be forever tainted.

Hey Owl fan, I know you just jealous of are glory so...

And If your not a Owl fan, Wow, how can you say that as a Blade?

Two messages?

Do us all a favour and don't make it three

Why are we even discussing this. It's gone to three pages!!!!!! Just because some pillock from some poxy little club signs himself on and thinks he knows something about us.
He's not respectful like our recent visitor from Charlton and the QPR chappie. Bumped a few of minutes after the last and now let it drop -. please.

To be fair to the lad, he got a good haul with not much bait.

I've got a good idea, why not merge Preston North End with Babybel cheese. The end product being called Preston Babybel End Cheese.

You've got form doing this have you had another go on BladesMad? Strange that you mention just before we play Preston. I've still not established whether you are deluded beyond even the most lunatic Delusions of Grandeur patient at Rampton. Even taking into account your ancient history or the recent passing of one of (not the best as Stanley Matthews was better) England's finest players does not put PNE as a successful club in the light you mention. Perhaps if PNE merged with Blackpool a much more recently successful club there is a chance that the two of you combined could be as successful as Everton or even Aston Villa. You could call yourselves the West Lancashire Alliance.

I quite like the sound of Fleetwood North End Pool :D

Not this shit again, for a start we would need a ground near the city centre and train station, plenty of multi storey car parks close by and plenty of eating places and pubs near by. Seeing as we both play in striped shirts we could take the red from ours and the white from theirs then we would just need a name, as two teams were merging they would have to be called Sheffield United.
Does that answer the phuckin dumb question ?

And the badge would be a big shiny blade stabbing an bloodied owl through the heart.
