Just to be pedantic, due to starting the season with a minus two points deduction, winning the "three games" (Oxford, etc.) that get mentioned, would have us ending the season on 99 points, still not enough for automatic, and still having to go to Wembley.

Get that completely but if we had won those 3, (as we should have done) we would have been going into the Burnley away game on the back of a 9 game, ( 8 wins and 1 draw) run and it would have put a whole different perspective on things. Still, we didn't and 90 points, (or 92, whatever way you look at it) was not enough. Those 3 wins would have piled the pressure on Burnley and Leeds and it could have ended differently, ultimately though, our failure to take points from Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland was our downfall and without doubt, that was down to Wilder.
