The relationship between the two seemed more distant last season. A truly decent, professional bloke and totally wish him well in future.
I do as far as last season was concerned we set up defensively as that’s what Knill was good at but we all know where it went tits up. I’m a firm believer in the don’t fix theory even though we had the personnel to batter teams, unfortunately our pattern of play was dictated by the Knill way but if that was the case why not spend 10m on a defender like Souttar or better.

One of those people you don't know, but appears to be a nice bloke, unfortunately that isn't what we want football wise, the club needs to move with the times and AK and the rest of Wilders staff have to go for me, GLTTLs but we need a complete change

My view is that the failure to adequately replace both JOC and Souttar were huge turning points in our seasons. Soutter particularly, after we'd already been given the lessons of not sorting out a JOC replacement.

He once sat in front of me at a Ray La Montagne gig at the City Hall. He went up in my estimation then.

He probably needs to go now though.

Lovely fella and rightly well respected in the game

I agree and it's frustrating lessons weren't learnt from the first time around with JOC. Wilder seems allergic to signing quality CBs and/or playing them (see Rob Holding)

I think JOC & Souter were huge turning points in Wilders career as well.
Had either of those injuries not happened
we wouldn't be where we are today.

God were an unlucky team , to have 2 awesome players like that play in the same position and get injured , i think it was the same injury acl ?

As soon as Souts walked off injured i turned to my son and said season over !!! I must admit tho i thought he was doing to much before it happened flying all over playing for Australia , playing all the time for us , i was right 🤷‍♂️

Doing too much ? I agree entirely, and look at players taking part in the Mickey mouse tournament in the states, then back to training for the new season, as fitness guru myself they will pay the price as they age, and I'm talking from personal experience,
Seriously, is all the money worth poor health as you age ? I think not!

Soutes was Achilles tendon rupture

Knill has always been a great servant to the club, hes very under spoken and is very rarely praised for all he has done. But, I think time has taken its toll, since Kieth left, we seem to have lost 99% of our ability on set pieces....
Hopefully this changes under the new guy, what's he called, Lovewand or summat?
