Are the players going to be able to raise their game for Carlisle on a tuesday night? Also, will they be avoiding 50/50s, NO ONE will want to be injured for Wembley, that's for sure!

P.S how much you betting Maguire gets a yellow on Tuesday!

Fuck the league. Win the Cup.

Ken how's your bakers dozen coming on;)

raise our game, what for

just continue as we are, playing as a team
when we lost at Crewe on feb 1st we were 21 points behind Walsall
win 1 of our 2 games in hand over walsall we can go above them now such is the run

I would expect another fairly big rotation: Davies, Porter or Paynter, Freeman etc. All will die to be in the squad at Wembley and will be looking to impress. With four ex Rams, they will all know their job and gel quickly. Hopefully, Scougs will get a rest.

I've been looking at the fixtures and the ideal game for Maguire to get booked in would be Wolves. Meaning that he would miss Crawley and Swindon but be available for Brentford, Orient and Hull.

That's if the cards aren't wiped clean by then? Not sure what the cut-off date is.

Found this on a ref forum

If a player receives 10 cautions between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be suspended for a period of 2 matches.

I think that Peterborough winning on Saturday has just about finished that faint hope. If they win again tonight they are 14 points clear meaning we need to make up 15 points on them in only 13 games, once the gap gets to a point a game it becomes very difficult to close.

Let's just forget about any talk of play offs. Just think about winning two more games and avoiding relegation. A lot of teams have to fail for us to finish sixth!

If a player grows a beard between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be a fucking hero

We were talking about that at the weekend in the context of young Harry. We've played 43 games and for a centre back, a booking almost every 5 games isn't outrageous or deserving of a ban.

By my reckoning there are 10 league games plus Wembley between now and 2nd Sunday in April so he's banned for 2 to be sure.

So the title of this thread is "Is our playoff push going to come to a halt?".

There is a certain implication that winning on Sunday now means we might NOT make the play-offs.
Fine, unless you happened to start a thread only last week saying that a win on Sunday was VITAL for our play-off hopes because otherwise it would knock the stuffing out of us.

Just out of interest like, what result on Sunday WOULD have been best?

We aren't on a playoff push, we are 11 points behind Peterborough after tonight properly 14 yes 2 games in hand so at best 8 points behind but have you seen there run of games? plus ours isn't exactly easy. Enjoy the semi and hopefully the final maybe we can finish top half i think that would be such an achievement baring in mind where we were just one month ago.
