CONFIRMED Kieron Freeman on Loan

Young right back at Derby, who has just completed a loan at Notts County, is a player we're interested in.

He's not cup tied either (based on his Wikipedia stats).

Looks like we'll be completing some transfer activity in the next few days and he is one option that has been discussed.

Must mean Brayford is out for a few weeks then.

He seems to have been frozen out a little doesn't he. Heard a rumour that he'd fallen out with Lambert over living arrangements (ie PL wants all players to live within a certain radius of AVFC, Lowton has been dragging his heels and lying about where he was living).

Read mixed reports on him, cant be worse than Westlake though that's simply not possible. I thought Ben Davies looked good at right back last couple of games, but we do need a back up.

I think none of us should knock the player or Nigel Clough until we hear from the man himself why he's signed him, cos come on Clough knows far more than us supporters on all football matters.
Clough knows the player, he knows the players strengths, he knows what we require, they both know how Clough sets his team up and what is required, in fact in Clough we trust.

Ask yourself has Clough let us down, have his transfer dealings let him down, if the answer is no then why would anyone not trust his judgement, furthermore why would anyone compare a player we've not yet seen play for us compare him with one of our failures.

This doesn't necessarily mean Brayford is out. It could mean that Clough wants some insurance, and feels Brayford may not manage 90 minutes. He may start with Freeman with Brayford on the bench or vice versa. Someone mentioned that on Tuesday Brayford said he was hopeful of playing.

I'm hoping Clough is playing his cards close to his chest in a Warnockesque manner.

There are many reasons as some have already suggested that K F is a welcome addition. Like Davies, a very decent squad player. Not Brayford, but who is? He can play in several positions and with injuries, mounting yellow cards etc, it is a wise and prudent move. Dare I say it, Nigel is even better, more experienced and wiser than he was at the Rams.

Terrible isn't it? All that money spent on the academy and all we have to show for it is 3 poxy right backs playing in the PL. Now we need one, nowt doing. Close it down, especially as the spending on cotton wool has gone through the roof.

He's a wales under 21 attacking full back, and his strength is he can put a good ball into the box.
Something he may not have had much chance of doing at Notts. where the focus would have probably been more on the apparently weaker side of his game, defending..
But I don't think he can be as weak as they paint him or NC would not have bothered signing him for a second time as cover for Brayford.
