You see - you come from Charlton so it's really not very surprising that you want to claim rites to a far, far better place.
You just need to keep on wishing and hoping then, when you see the light, you will understand that the only way to true misery is to become a Blade and live in some sort of restless peace our fair city. It won't be yours but in some small way you will have become part of it, a speck of fluff just gently floating in it's breeze.

By the way - I left 30 odd year ago when I went to Univ and haven't lived there since

We've been given another 200. I thought we couldn't get anymore?

I'd guess that given the chances of a sell out SUFC are going cap in hand to SYP to try and reduce the segregation required. If all the Bramall Lane end plus the corner were used, that would total around 7,000.

We'd probably not need any if it wasn't for those tails who fired off a few flares and those who made a complete arse of themselves on the pitch in the Forest game. But now SYP have plenty of excuses to show force, with swaithes of empty seats acting as no man's land and enough helicopter action to make S2 look like an episode of M*A*S*H.

Big Q Park next at the train station 10-15 mins walk from The Lane, not bad prices in there either
Thanks for the parking suggestions, while looking at eyre lane on google maps, the science car park on Arundel road came up, cheap enough and only a few minutes walk from the station. Cant wait for sunday, reckon its gonna be a belting day :)

I can't see how closing the Westfield Corner will prevent "trouble". As has been mentioned before, there's an 8 foot wall between that stand and the South Stand.

What was the point in building the Westfield Corner if we can never use the increased capacity it provides? If we can't use it against Charlton, a team whose fans have no hooligan reputation at all, then when can it be used?

The Westfield corner was well used in the Premiership as we gave the away teams the bottom tier of the Bramall Lane end and our fans used the top tier thats why we averaged 30k

Westfield empties into south stand making it impossible to use

I remember 'Tucker's Ruckers' from the 70's and early 80's.. ;)

I'm sure the Westfield exits separately into Bramall Lane

Exits on to the ramp off the south stand making it very difficult to police

Fans don't go onto the street until after they'd mingled with home fans

Thanks - it was all a bit of a blur last time I went up there - Wigan in PL

Maybe there is a use for those police barriers after all then!

We're Northern.....it is!

I don't think home fans can be housed up there either as I don't believe that the fans can be segregated on the stairs?

Not even sure they can be segregated at concourse level, aren't all the gents toilets at one end?

Cameron's trying to get on't Kop!

Still think you might be better parking your car at Meadowhall, right next to Junction 34 of the M1 plently of free parking, get the supertram to Sheffield Station, takes about 10 mins, then 10 mins walk to the ground, then you can leave you son at the station, and get the supertram back to Meadowhall
Parking charges in Sheffield Council car parks and on-street car parking P&D is £1 all day.
