Wearing Blue to Blades matches

Going off on a slight tangent, the one that genuinely gets me is cars. There’s lots of people driving around with United stickers/air fresheners/personalised number plates round where I live. The other day, for example, I saw a little Kia thing driving around with the huge Blades badge decal plastered all over its back window.

Its colour: blue. Not navy, not sky blue, but proper W*dnesday blue.

On the other side of the divide, there’s a car always parked nearby with various Owls regalia in it.

Its colour: red, not maroon or burgundy, but proper United red.

It’s one thing wearing navy to a game, but why spend thousands/commit to a monthly payment to have a big lump of the other team’s colour sat outside your house? 🤯

I think we should go all bloods and crips and make bramall lane a no go area for blue, if you have nothing red then a red bandana hanging from your belt will be enough to not get you shot.

Edit: or kidney punched

None of you can be trusted. Rest assured - I've forwarded this idea to the club (but red)Screenshot_20250328-162031.webp.

"whilst also generating a sea of colour from the stands as we look to create an atmosphere for the team"

Embarrassing from the club. Out of touch with our fans who are passionate about not wearing the clubs colours for fashion reasons.

To wear a jacket or not? 🤔
Yep that's the difficult one. You cant rely on the weather forecasters they are generally useless. I have decided to take a jacket down with me and dependant on the weather when I get to that London it will either travel with me to Wembley or get left in the Hotel.

Raincoat/mac I reckon (red, white or black). Keeps the wind/rain off but wouldn't overheat. And easily chucked on/under seat if not needed.

I’ve decided to take something disposable so on the basis that I’m more concerned about practicality than style I’ve borrowed a jacket from Bell4

It's a nice gesture but I'm guessing Wembley is going to be a sea of red and white regardless!

I'm taking a light jacket hoping it's just going to be "light drrrizzle"

Just checked the weather again and no real forecast of rain now until 8. I’m revisiting my original jacket plans as we speak (exciting, I know), to go for something a bit lighter.

Never ever wear blue to united ! Even turned down some Addidas Spezials cos they were blue . Bad enough being married to a Citeh season ticket holder 😝

Nice outfit but no red shoes

Dry during the game but by the time I get home there's likely to be rain. It's distracting me from the pre game nerves just deciding what to wear...

I sometimes wear blue to united matches, because I tend to have blue clothes and I am not an 8 year old child. Maybe it's just me who thinks this way.

Indulge me in a light hearted debate.

How/why does age have anything to do with it, out of interest?

Hundreds of millions of fans, globally, regularly wear the colours of their team. We see it all the time. Are they all huge 8 year olds?

I’ll be wearing a blue and white striped t-shirt, sure that won’t cause any issues
